CC :: Sussex v Durham

This there's been attacking and being wreck less he admitted if we didn't lose quick wickets yesterday he might have declared which would have been very silly
Contrast their tail batting responsibly and ours being wreckless. Other way round and we'd now have put Sussex out of sight. Raine, Carse, and Coughlin,don't do themselves justice with their carefree approach.

Why would it have been silly? If we’d have got to 450 on Day 1 with maybe 6 overs to go it would’ve been a great decision. He explained his rationale and it was sound.

Well the free entry day looked like it worked well for Sussex yesterday. It was far from a sell out but a very healthy attendence compared to the other games where it looked the usual handful of regulars. Hopefully a few counties have taken note.

Should always be a charge to sit with elite members in the county Durham upper. The riff raff freebies can sit in the trapdoor stand with @The Red Telephone

But but ppl complain on here the hundred gives free entry, but it's ok for county cricket :lol:

It was free though. Even with the refreshment sales it mightn’t have made much.
Yeah but it got people in to watch county cricket. It has to be better than a few hundred people turning up. You never know they maybe a few who may have enjoyed the days play and attend again.
Counties can't just have this defeatest attitude that nobody wants to attend championship cricket apart from a handful of members. Great proactive idea and it worked well done Sussex.

Raine wraps it up. 3 runs added this morning.

Lead of 41 on first innings.
Well 41 is better than nowt.

Potts was very unlucky not to finish it last night, once he increased his length, as mentioned by one of the commentators they could hardly put bat on ball!
