Played Ramside Wednesday, shouldn’t have been open.

If it did rain for a fortnight it probably still wouldn’t be worth playing yet.

Greens were shite as well.

I don’t know how much they spent last year on drainage but I’d politely suggest they haven’t had value for money.

Shot 79 which I rarely do, thought I struck the ball much better at burgham on Saturday. However no 3 off the tee and landed around x 5 5 to 10ft putts. That’s the difference between a good and great round like.

Competition season starting on Sunday for us.
New shoes , balls , glove acquired.
Clubs gleaming and looking forward to the season.
Got a few opens booked at Knaresbrough, Seaton Carew, South Shields, Powfoot and Southerness and a trip up to Berwick in September to play The Hirsel, Duns and Dunstanburgh.
Oh, and The Masters to look forward to on a bank holiday weekend as well.

Been closed for much of this year to be honest. No mention of any perks for paying members. Haven’t played since November due to the weather being shite. Hoping to get out next weekend but looks like I’ll have to play elsewhere

Knotty hill shut today. Just been to driving range there for an hour. As we jumping in the car to come home few people getting trolleys out there boots and seem quite perplexed when you tell them course is shut. They made the decision yesterday afternoon. With the weather been what it is can't understand why you wouldn't give them quick ring just to check before you set off. Obviously they posted in there socials but understandsdly people may not be on there themselves
 
First tee off at the filly this morning , by time i was getting off at 10.30 arnly a 3 ball about 7 holes behnd and 1 a one ball tee off as I’m walking off.
Basically course was empty, had it to myself. Was lovely as well nee wind and no rain. Was the same Sunday night.empty.

have to say though I’m now seriously fucked off with plugged balls and constantly cleaning the hower.

Have they sorted greens out, shocking last September? course was feeling really neglected With overgrown tee boxes etc.


aye sunday was canny at filly in terms of solid ground, then 2 days of solid rain again. Ffs

Anyone been lucky enough to play Royal Portrush or Royal County Down.

I’m in NI for few days chilling and popped over to portrush yesterday and had to have a look at this beauty. (I now have to play it at some point)

Staying down near mourn
Mountains so going to have a gander at Royal Coonty Down later. Ranked #1 in Ireland and Uk by golf monthly. Looks stunning man.

Missus thinks I’m a reet sad bastard. Probably reet. 😎
