Wrestling - Part 3

And that’s what wrestlemania should be about, superb match, knew that’d be good.
.
Why do they insist on lying about the attendances all the time? 😂 80,000 my arse

They put on one of the best woman’s matches of the year and follow it up with this shit. Absolutely no one gives a shit in the crowd and rightfully so.

I feel like that didn't go as well as the writer's hoped, they hoped for Pat to get a massive pop and he didn't :D

Would of been fun if it were a Lashley squash match

I liked that blokes Batman haircut.

That’s the difference between last time when they built it up over a number of weeks, to this time just throwing it out there on a whim, nobody was invested.

Jimmy face turn, surely?

Fair enough, a clean finish.
Enjoyed the night overall.

Paul's poor showing and the pointless Women's tag match were major downsides otherwise rest was either okay or good.

So

Cena/Theory - shite but at least Theory won

4 way tag - didn’t see much of this but caught the end and looked good, must have been canny looking at the reactions on here

Seth/Logan - Seth should be in better match ups than this, especially at Mania, I did like the table spot mind but Logan Paul is an absolute wanker so I hope he’s gone from wrestling for good

Woman’s trios - meh, I’d of preferred two current women in the positions of Trish and Lita, it was just there tbh

Rey/Dom - enjoyed this, Good story in the lead up (that I got through the video package), plenty heat in the match, good stuff

Rhea/Charlotte - thought this was the best match by far, up there in the top 3 woman’s matches this year easily, both women were excellent

Pat/Miz - shite

KO Sami/Usos - it was good, not main event worthy to me but I haven’t followed the story like everyone else watching the weekly shows, happy Sami is finally being taken serious recently

I will say they need to do something about how long it takes to get to the next match, it takes far too long and drags like fuck

Anyways looking forward to Walter/Sheamus/Drew beating the shit out of each other tomorrow, Hell in the cell should be good, Asuka/Bianca should be good if given time like the ladies tonight.

Small detail but can be seen above the ring if you're sat in the audience - They've reverted back to the old school hell in a cell design, the one they used in matches like Mankind v Undertaker etc. rather than the modern day design.
Think the Triple threat IC title match can beat the Women's singles match for the match of the year award, it was seriously good.
Fatal 4 way tag men's match probably has won the I don't give a fuck but was an actual good match award

Lesnar v Omos has potential to be worst match of the event award.

Just finished watching the Charlotte Vs Rhea match. I know opinions are objective, but that was up there with the best matches I have ever seen, and I've been watching this since late 90s.

It had literally everything. Slow build, emotion, a long term story, high spots, dangerous spots, great chemistry and the last 10 minutes of that match had me in disbelief at times!

That will be viewed as one of the best matches in WWE history in the future.
Honestly I don't get what quite a lot on here are getting at. To me, that PPV was brilliant for the most part.

Admittedly, Theory Vs Cena and the 6 woman tag match certainly weren't the best, but everything else was top notch. People will no doubt shit on the Miz/McAfee segment/match, but it served its purpose to let the crowd calm down after the epic that was Rhea Vs Charlotte and let them get their breath back for the main event, which was also great in my eyes.

Rhea Vs Charlotte was obviously the match of the night but I also loved the emotion in the main event and KO looking on the verge of tears at the end showed how much it meant to share that moment with Sami. Them two fully deserve the moment with the pyro going off at the end of WM with their music playing, especially Sami after his first class work during the last year.

Also like to mention the Fatal 4-Way tag match because everyone involved in that took advantage of their spot and it was fantastically produced.

Rey Vs Dom was played to perfection today, but I do felt they backed themselves into a corner and there was no way that Rey couldn't win, even though you can tell he would want to put Dom over. I'd quite expect to see Rey in a retirement match within the next couple of years against Dom where he puts him over and Dom turns face again and they hug it out at the end, but now is certainly not that time.

Agreed with all of this.

Charlotte v Rhea will be viewed as all time classic. It was superb.

Lastly, you gotta remember 12 months ago KO and Sami were midcard jobbers, Rhea too. Sami wasn't even at WM I believe (didn't bother checking Wiki to check) and KO was jobbing to a 57 year old. All 3 of them have come a long way in 12 months.

I think Sami had the comedy match against Johnny Knoxville last year, if I remember correctly.

Haven't properly watched a ppv in ages (sometimes had them on in the background like) but quite enjoyed that. Logan Paul and that getting involved is annoying, but as someone else said, they seem to be trying to make wrestlemania like the superbowl, they know people who aren't really wrestling fans might turn on so they get some "celebrity" and product placement stuff going on. It's irritating, but it is what it is.

Agree with most mind, used to be better when it was a one night event, and there was quite a lot of filler. Enjoyed most of it though, the exception being the miz match (and I normally like him).

Mind, I know it's fake and that, but it still always annoys me that they have the "title can't change hands with a disqualification" rule on almost all title fights. I know you have to suspend your disbelief with wrestling but haway, if you were champion and the other bloke was getting on top you'd blatantly just get yourself disqualified. They show a heel proper anxious about losing, just get a mate to run in and smack the opponent. Reigns could get the Usos to do it in the first minute tonight, easy.

It was a tremendous evening. The SoFi Stadium is truly immense, and the matches had the crowd invested in most of them.
I don’t think todays card will as much, but it should still be a good’un.

Rhea Flair put on one of the best matches at Wrestlemania period.
Owens and Sami was perfect way to end the night and lead into tomorrow.
Mysterio match was very good and fun. Rey Spanking dominik!
Rollins/Paul came over very well in the stadium with the entrances and the prime costume, probably should have kicked off the show tbf.
The mens 4 way tag match had no right to be as good as it was, perfect length, lots of big and cool looking spots, gable suplexing strowman, the top rope high spots - very good booking.
Cena Theory was fine but a bit mundane.
Damage ctrl match was okay, but feels like the end for them as a group and everything Lita was doing seemed in slow motion - fully expecting them to drop the titles Monday night
Lets just take a minute to appreciate how Trish has not aged at all!
