Which bit especially do you disagree with? We’ve got quality and depth at all batting positions in my view, that’s the angle I’m taking.
Bowling attack looks fragile and frail, I concede that.
First let me repeat: im excited and optimistic for the season.
However a big part of that is how much alot of our players have to prove. Especially in bowling but looking at the batting "as strong as its ever looked with a lot of depth"
Lees - will he be available all season due to england?
Jones - one great season behind him, will he kick on, repeat or regress? And will he miss time due to Scotland?
Borthwick - a former run machine struggling to repeat early career success for many years. Fingers still crossed for him
Bedingham - a poor year last year by his (very high) standards, possbly down to injury? What will we get this year?
Robinson - new(ish) to the team, looks a great signing on paper.
Bushnell (?) - hopefully this season sees him turn his potential into a regular and dependable first teamer hopefully with bat and ball and in all formats
Trevaskis/Clark/MacKintosh - in my mind theyre fighting for 7th spot in the lineup and all have shown flashes of quality, and all reasonably dependable in their respective fields.
McKinney, Crawshaw - unless im forgetting anyone these two unproven lads are the depth (along with two of the above) and may they spend some time with england u19s? I dont know how fixtures tie in with domestic games.
Loads of potential, will be exciting to see who fulfills theirs, and how well but i just feel like its a bit hyperbolic to call it strong as its ever been and deep when alot is still to prove.
The tail looks potentially very strong mind depending on who plays between the likes of coughlin and carse v macalindon, gibson etc. No idea what either of the aussies look like or if we'll see the all rounder potential of potts this year
