Club are looking to extend the stadium

It's mental, isn't it? Any you tube clip, anything like that they are straight on with their sarky comments. It's sad as fuck
The blokes that get on there do seem a bit simple and lonely. Their spelling is always atrocious, amuse themselves by tiresomely referring to 'joker park' and all claim to have been in the Fulwell end that game in the mid 80s when a few shouted 'United' and then ran onto the pitch.

Are they regularly selling out? I'm not particularly fussed about what they're up to TBH.

And TBH I'm not particularly fussed about us having empty seats - that's not going to change, as our stadium is built now and it's too big (opinion). As I've posted before people are free to come and go or attend or not attend as they please.

I don't know why you're focusing on this 10 years.

My original question was when did we last sell out 3 in a row (just a random example). I know I put 10 years with a question mark in there, but it might have been longer, or shorter.

One poster says likely 1999-2000. That's almost a quarter of a century ago.

I think our stadium is too big, you think it isn't.

Our attendance and support is phenomenal, but it doesn't alter my opinion that the Stadium is too big.
To answer your question I don’t think we’ve sold out 3 games in a row ever at the SoL, well at least since the last extension which was about 2000ish.

The ground is more than big enough, just needs a bit of reconfiguration to get it right.

Expanding a ground we don't sell out is just a waste of money.

Name them.If we get a 63,000 stadium
Wembley, Emirates, Spurs ground, West Hams ground (Especially with the London travel links and hotels) Old Trafford, That's just a few from England, not taking into account Millennium stadium, Hampden park (Again In Edinburgh so loads of travel links and hotels) Everton's new ground will probably be in with a shout as well as Anfield with it's European history

OP has it wrong. The extension is to house Speakmans new supercomputer. The data and stats he will get out of this will see us winning the champions league in 5 year
That was Methen trying to sort the sound system out on the cheap rather than bring in an outside contractor

Wembley, spurs, arsenal, West Ham, Man Utd, Liverpool (currently extending to around 60k) are all bigger or roughly the same size grounds if we extend to 63k with miles better infrastructure to host a champions league. A few of those stadiums are on a different level to the stadium of light. Man City have also just announced an extension to 60 that they will doubtless follow through on so you can add those to it.

Why is there a obsession nowadays with stadiums being sold out ,I'd bet there wouldn't be many times Roker had the gates closed 3 games in a row .

So only two of those are bigger than 63,000

There is talk of quinns bar getting modernised. I know there are some in bcb who went there as not happy at standard of quinns and cost so maybe they might go back if it is improved. Bcb could be a place to transition people as they develop commercial side bit by bit.

I saw something in meeting notes that a premier a club could mayve request south stand and south west corner so maybe they thinking put a second level on south stand. Keep family enclosure where it is and give away fans a 2 level south stand. Then current south stand lot can go in gaps around lower bowel or north stand upper. Could do deal with local butchers and brewers to provide fresh local produce for bars and kiosks.

Could then update bcb, put a 2nd level on East stand. Could have boxes used by charities on non match days, could develop a multi storey car park on park by west stand and bring in money during week. Could get lots of concerts or festivals at ground outside of season. Be a northern hq for women's game. Could develop transport options for branches outside of wearside, develop young generation. Keep tickets manageable, keep cost sane but mire regular dd, develop a wearside bank, fans move banks, bank develops wearside, improves economy, helps more to go.

Maybe these are all things that club does to get Donald to pay 10% of or give up the rest of his shares and maybe Mr Uruguay helps out then dreyfus once it all completed buys him out and club better so Mr Uruguay makes money on his current 33% which has allowed kld to speed up development before kld inherits that big trust.
Well written post but absolute pie in the sky. You’re a dreamer I’ll give you that.

Extend the stadium all the way around but not capacity
This would still allow us to maximise space for better matchday experience, hospitality and corporate offerings

So you think that Sunderland would be more likely to be picked because it would have 1/3000 more seats? Even though literally every other thing they decide it on would be against Sunderland?

Sunderland does have one obvious advantage. It's only half an hour drive from Club Bongo International in the Boro, or Quarter of an hour - depending on the quality of coke you're on. Put that in the f***ing prospectus!
