Kicked off SAFC land for protesting against digital

Can I ask just how gathering the information - your fingerprint would be implemented?

Very easy at work places as every one comes into work on a daily basis but a football match...? Really....!

Would they- The Club be willing to travel to every Sc holders addresses to obtain said fingerprint...? Or would the club expect ME to travel to the club shop/ticket office (that would probably be closed btw) to transfer my Fingerprint to a machine.... I really dont think Im going to be doing that....!

Then we have the problem of GDPR....!

Brexit means we can alter GDPR laws if we want to ... just a useless piece of information

I havnt had that experience as never been to the Newcastle Arena, I just guessed that no one at the club would have come up with this idea, the only other people to benefit would be Ticketmaster, tying us in with them

Yeah think TM will be pushing this, but to what cost to the club, especially long term.?

BTW I don't mean cost as in money I mean long term fan base.

At no additional cost?
Genuinely not sure mate. Not sure if they gave that level of detail. Wouldn't surprise me if they tried to levy a charge against it simply to try and limit the number of people requesting a physical card, but that's purely my personal opinion. It's also my opinion that if they do that, we shouldn't stand for it. No one should be forced to pay a premium simply because they can't use a digital season card. All I know is that people in that situation will definitely still be able to attend

Do you want to know something, This has "TICKETMASTER" all over it.......! An absolute horrendous system especially at the arena in Newcastle. Never had a good experience with it yet....

Cant add to Google wallet, cant transfer and cant screen shot tickets.

Let that sink in people. Thats what all this is about....!

Exactly it’s another way to get more money out of fans by stopping people sharing season cards about

Cheers. Keep holding them to account. 👍

Putting aside the elderly chap protesting for a moment. Just reading this and the digital season ticket thread with some disdain really.

Every corporate entity in the developed world are making sustainability a key theme of how they carry out their business.

Less consumption, less environmental impact, less waste. You’d have to be pretty obtuse not to understand or to complain about that.

& who introduced us to ticket master SD 👿👿👿👿👿👿

Well they boot loyal fans off for protesting
They fail to consult fans on the switch to digital only tickets
They refuse to put simple things like a net up to protect people
Fans ask genuine questions to which they are constantly get told by SD they will look into it
Cancelling fan displays at the last moment
Dreadful customer service
Turning people away from autograph signings

Hopefully that answer your question
All that may or may not be true.
You are ignoring my point.
H0ow would you know ?

All we have to go on is that the clubs official statement explicitly stated it'll be entirely digital & some hearsay from another member.

Concert tickets, just because they've been taking the piss for years doesn't make it OK. You get charged because it's passed onto a 3rd party & it's their admin costs. And you get charged even for a digital version. If you buy a paper copy directly from the venue, you don't get charged. So actually it's the complete opposite

They get you both ways. At our local concert venues, St Georges Bristol and Bristol Beacon, not only do the ticket buyers get done for an admin charge, but those hiring the hall (say a choir or a concert promoter) not only have to pay a rental charge, but they also take a hefty commission on tickets they sell for you.

Less consumption, well lets put that template over every other aspect of life and it won't take you too long to see where all this ends up.

Necessity of data retention for business purposes is exempt from GDPR. So a SC address list, for example, would be exempt, but an email link for promotional purposes or addresses for a mail shot would require an optin from the recipient.
