Striker situation

Has it come to this that you can't discuss the game and where we had issues without people jumping on it as being negative / speakman out etc?

We clearly lack a focal point up front, Gelhardt struggled a lot today that affected our balance are we not allowed to say that?

I'm frustrated we took Michut and Gelhardt off, moved Amed up front and put Pritchard on as Michut was playing really well. Is that negative / slagging speakman off or an opinion?
Healthy debate is good and respect other peoples opinions even if I don't agree but I do feel people get jumped on and start getting personal at times on here. I've seen it happen far to many times here, there is no need for it really.

It’s just a dull discussion. There’s nowt else to add. Everyone accepts we are short it’s just whether you are outraged or philosophical. We have 7 points from the last 9 and everytime we don’t get 3 points is there really going to be a thread like this? We are short up front, our star striker got injured more or less on deadline day and we didn’t get a ‘Brian Deane’ type in. It may well cost us in the same way the very many utterly brilliant signings they have made have got us where we are.

There’s a a thread about everything every week tbf.

 I'll take that as a compliment ;)

Not a bellend now, just think they've got worse and it may be the level we are now playing at.

We'll save them debates for another day. I'm shocked cos I've spend years arguing with posters on here about officiating but can't remember ever arguing with your old self in that time

It can't be denied that Gelhardt as good as he is meant to be struggled today and not having an option from the bench affected us.

If that can't be mentioned because it's another striker thread then how can the game be discussed?

Probably just annoyed with current ones tbh:lol:

I thought the Lee Mason stuff was over the top and he shouldn't have to leave. But like you said, another day...

Going to end up costing us the playoffs like.

Amad is well and truly off the pace atm and Gelhardt can't hold it up. The ball keeps coming back and back because we can't get out.

Gutting
I may have mentioned this once or twice last month

Sadly the striker they did bring in doesn't look up to it. We've no out ball and can't reply on Clarke scoring worldies twice a week. I realistically gave up on playoffs at start of this month but hoped we could somehow get enough results to sneak it (we may still as its tight and there are games left). We've Burnley and Norwich away and Sheff United at home, I see those better sides causing us more problems that the likes of Reading and QPR, Coventry won't be an easy game either. The worry is teams work us out and as we've no plan B we drop points as we did earlier in season.

Repeating the same thing every 5 minutes, is that healthy debate?
It's a public forum mate, as long as it isn't toxic and people getting abused I see nothing wrong with it. If people don't want to see it then they just leave the thread or ignore the person altogether if it gets to much for them.

I think reading and Bristol city have worked us out slightly in how they've set up.

We are far more effective away from home anyway

We seem suited to playing on the break currently. There'll be a lot more pain at home, which I know people don't want to hear but unless we can pull a centre forward out of thin air we'll not improve drastically at home and its the home form which will cost us most imo.

I agree unfortunately. We have quality to win games anyway but atm at home it's taking Clarke and roberts to pull something special out.

I have nothing against opinion but if calling Speakman incompetent (not you, obviously) isn't slagging him off, what is it?
