Striker situation

I've seen nothing to justify why everybody and his dog apparently wanted to sign him up. Always open to being proved wrong but so far I'm in agreement.

I think he looks alright, it's early and maybe it will fall for him, though it shows just how much many underrated Simms.

What I worry about is his lack of goal record, as whilst it might just click for him, he's looking far from clinical so far and his record doesn't suggest he's much of a goalscorer.

I hope Joffy can get his goal and go on to play well but it certainly reminds me of Danny Graham expecting him to bang the goals in and ends up a let down.

Let's hope there's more to come from Gelhardt but he hasn't shown anything so far.

There's no getting away from the fact the club failed by leaving us with only one centre forward for the rest of the season, and an unproven one like that.

2 years this situation has been going on. Poor Tony is doing all he can - and doing well - but Speakman hasn't given him a full deck of cards.

Massive concerns that we’ve handed the reins to someone who doesn’t know the absolute basics of putting a football squad together.

But her, we signed a fifth choice centre half, third choice right winger, and fifth choice midfielder in January,

That’s what we were crying out for.

We don’t have strikers, the squad’s too young, Mowbray is useless/past it/crap decision maker … but we are 5th in the table in our first season back in the championship … some on this board are truly magical …

Ekwah or Elhadji may be given a chance up there soon but Joffey still has a couple more chances to find his feet imo

Yeah cos we not allowed to criticise his stupid decision not to get a striker because he has brought in lots of good young players

Diallo got benched last game and has looked the best he has for a while against QPR. He has to earn his spot like everyone else.

Also, is he really the best option against a physical team like Rotherham?
