Sunderland music thread

🤣🤣🤣

Not long till the Brit Pack's big gig at pub in a street in Sunderland that shares its name with a street in Dublin.

On a side note it concerns be to see that you're FB page says the band are from Newcastle !!!
Blame the bloody guitarist who set it up!

None of us have ever even lived in Newcastle, he lives in Whitley Bay!

Is it downstairs in the Peacock, didn't they have a disco upstairs once?

Yea the bands are downstairs on matchdays but some say Friday Saturday nights etc they have gigs upstairs.

Back in the day the Derry used to have a Flares disco on the second floor (where they gave live music now) I think?

The third floor these days is a studio for music students doing a music degree.

Good night at Pop recs Saturday . I thought support band edged it over Slug . Good set ,great sound . Good beer etc . Bar staff a but full of themselves .
You go in a new place a few pints to the wind and get to the bar and there's no fridges or lines of logos
So you say what we got we got mate? and you get a sort of school teacher look and point to some info on the wall behind. The cans and bottle offering and shown on a shelf 8 feet up the wall or whatever too
Great place never the less

I enjoyed the gig there on Friday Sweet Baboo/Clementine March/Lucas Renney gig, particularly Lucas's set.

A can of Magners was £4.50 you could get four cans of the stuff in Iceland for that price and they're pint cans!

Still all concert venues are expensive.

Main thing is its a cracking venue as you said great sound there.

The Saints (Indie covers) are playing at the Mill View club tonight @ 20:30.

Beer at gigs is awful, 7.60 a pint at the arena
