LEGO builds for Adults

Got the Millennium Falcon (75257) not the big £650 one, off my Mrs for Xmas, really enjoying building it so far. Trying to savour it though and not build it too quickly. Would love to give the Home Alone house a go too, looks great.

Other half got this for Xmas:

But we’ve still not finished the Millennium Falcon. After Xmas with two five year old boys, I’d be quite happy to never have to build another Lego set again tbh.
I'm on the lookout for a Falcon like. I think I've made me peace with the fact I'm gonna have one eventually. It's just waiting for the right price. I nearly pulled the trigger in the John Lewis black Friday when I was on holiday.

If you do, take your time. Savour it. It’s fun and sometimes frustrating but it’s lovely. Probably don’t take as long as us, like, but don’t do it in a weekend like some people I know. The joy should be savoured.

 Aye, that's been me approach with most sets. Bar maybe the Home Alone set which ended up a bit of a rush 'cos I wanted it up and lit up in time for Christmas. I've actually saved the set of upstairs lights to put on next year.

Me Batmobile's still boxed and sealed. That's the next big one.

I was spoiled at Christmas with both the Optimus Prime and Darth Vader helmet sets.

Very much looking forward to having time to build these.

Optimus isn't too long a build, but I've dragged it right out. Still got the jet pack to put together. It's look absolutely class like when he's up and holding the cannon.

I've been toying with getting the pieces and downloading the instructions for the trailer, but I think it works out quite expensive (at least £50 more than the Optimus set), and nobody's done the instructions for roller.

I was a tad disappointed with the model in truck mode as well - though I didn't take me time transforming him.

I am hoping they will do a Megatron for the other end of my shelf.

That's true. But as a display item I of course would have him in robot form. Not lego, but I do already have a Starscream model.

Yes, I am making my apartment sound like a child's bedroom I know.

They’d be better off just doing Megatron in robot form off the cartoon as the toy was terrible.

Starscream would be a good Lego build mind

After reading your post I thought I would have a look to see what he looks like in Truck form. Definitely agree he looks better in his "normal" form.

Nothing to be ashamed of. Just think of it as a second childhood. My study/office is full of Funkos and other collectables. We had to get the plumber in to have a look at the radiator in there and when he saw all the Funkos & models, he asked how old our children were. His face was a picture when I explained we didn't have any and that they were all mine

I couldn't give a crap me, I've got boxed collectors dolls on display, a Lego Optimus prime, nightmare before Christmas merch and the bairn has quite a few pops .
We all like what we like 😘😎
