Trouble again

I honestly believe there won't be any trouble whatsoever.
The tickets only went to the hardcore of fans that have been to the majority of away games and they aren't the types to through either coins or windmills outside.

The hardcore hoolies won't have got tickets and I doubt the police would let them anywhere near a SR postcode if they try to get to the game.

I might be giving ‘hardcore hoolies’ as you put it too much credit, but I doubt it would be those sorts who’d be likely to hoy owt down - bigger fish to fry and all that plus would they want to risk a ban for summat so daft and cowardly?

I reckon the sorts who throw stuff down are far more likely to be the young 8 stone wet through dweebs that have a moment of madness through too much drink or think it would make them look big and clever in front of their mates.

Boro fan told me this morning that there will be 600 police on duty for the match!!!

seems to be a very high number. is this correct or nonsense?

Probably be right they will need to be in town at stations etc and in and around the ground.

I suspect the police will be forcing boro into the ground asap as well. Anyone getting the 8.30 from boro could be in for a shock if they think pubs will be open for them.

You are right, likely suspect would be some anonymous arsehole who thought they would look clever.

I've been to many a Boro away game, stood close to the home fans many a time, and I cant ever remember objects being thrown. I really hope this is the case on Sunday.
There is an underlying theme on this thread that there will be trouble on Sunday, I genuinely believe it will pass without no more than the usual isolated incidents. The Boro crowd there will be , just like the majority on here, normal football fans that don't want, or look for trouble.

I was talking to a Boro supporter the other day and I think they have been provided with a list of prohibited items, maybe sent out with tickets. She certainly knew that they aren't supposed to take coins etc in.
Ya can't stop people taking coins in man. Stupid, obviously thick heeds shouldn't be hoying owt either like
I suppose they could just cable tie all away supporters' arms together to prevent the throwing action :)
All 3 arms?
