We’ll sing what we want

It’s pretty obvious, you blindly follow the gestures of a political movement you accept that you may be roped in with some of the unsavoury shite they do. Like the Roman salute or otherwise known as the nazi salute. Taking the knee has political connotations and forcing it to be universally recognised as x y or a is exactly what Hitler did, with the swastika too. Good job we have anti racist campaigners that are not in any way racist themselves.
The clip of this^^^^^. Thickness

It's not as black and white (pardon the pun) as "people who boo the knee are *only* booing because they are racist". There's a cross section of those that boo the knee and also sing the Diallo song, those will be the racist ones.
There's also some that will do one or the other: because they agree that anti-racism - the knee - is a good stand to take, but don't see the harm in the big dick song.
On the flip side, there's people that will boo the knee (because they believe it to be more a political organisation rather than anti racism), but will rightly recognise the racial stereotypes in the Amad song so won't sing it.

It's probably about clarity and getting those in the latter 2 scenarios to understand that 1) the knee doesn't represent a political organisation, it is a gesture of anti-racism. 2) The song isn't acceptable as it is based on racial stereotypes, that even the player himself has said is uncomfortable.

In addition to the last paragraph, immediately labelling anyone that does either of the latter two as racist is counter productive. The first group that do both are likely racist, however and probably wouldn't listen to any attempt at clarity or education

The only cross section is the one between the racists who boo the knee and the people too stupid to see it’s racist to boo the knee.

It’s f’ing embarrassing, as is the Diallo song. It is that simple

Defunding the police is a good idea but the label is misleading. Anyone who values police doing police work would support defunding.
Haha and herein lies the problem; the slogan is more nuanced than expressed… do you think the uneducated side of BLM, you know the racist element who are simply put white hating Neanderthals, pause to discover those nuances or they just shout defund the police without any consideration for what it means therefore attaching their own meaning? It’s all a load of shite, you went from the 90-00s where you had black empowerment now it’s total victimhood. Depressing really.

Okay, fair point. Btw I'm not defending the booing of the knee by any means. I think it's moronic.

My post was merely saying that some people may be misguided or ignorant as to what it is (thanks to the media and press in this country and further afield), with connotations to certain political organisations and leanings.

If it was made unequivocally explained that it is not affiliated, or in support of any political body or leaning and is merely as a show of solidarity and anti racism, then there'd be no reason for anyone to boo, unless they are racist.

It has been, repeatedly.

Not necessarily. If the club get some fans’ favourite players involved, they may be able to educate the younger generation. Some people will never change, but it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try.
It’s a good gesture mate but we’ve already had a fan favourite in Amad come out and ask for it to stop.

We were told by the genius’ on here that he was forced to say it and he secretly loves it. Willingly dances in front of thousands of middle aged white blokes singing about his penis.

What does that mean? Isn’t he allowed an opinion? What if that opinion differs from yours?
I don't think a fan group rep delving into politics (in direct contradiction to club statements) is a good look. And he has a habit of not being able to stop. So we shall see

And an anti racism programme would be pointless because they're thick and ignorant, will be just ignored as woke nonsense.
Disagree, what happened to “show racism the red card”… knowing the youth of today they’d probably take to it because it was retro at least it seems the BLM shite has pervaded society for quite some time perhaps not long enough to deem show racism the red card retro but yeah
