Ross Stewart valuation question

We should be looking for £15m minimum.

Boro were daft enough to pay that sort of money for Assombalonga in 2017, Stewart is a better player and values have risen since then.

He has 18 months left on his contract and by all available info the club only has 360k left to pay him on that contract .

Those taking about anything north of 6 million quid are fooling themselves.

Being British automatically increases his value too.
For me personally mate it should be £25M at least with a deal agreed for another proven goalscorer agreed before letting go. However you can guarantee this model will sell at their price.

He’s got be one of if not the best striker in the Championship so £20m minimum for me.

Over the years we’ve rolled over far too many times on player valuations and it would be piss poor business to let him leave for anything less.

The relationship between his wages and the price tag SAFC might slap on RS is something I genuinely do not understand.

If he is worth promotion (possibly) to us, why would we let him go for a paltry £6m?

Not arguing - it's just that I don't understand how these things work.

I know the Ross Stewart contract situation and possible bids is being discussed in over 250 pages in that other thread… but

How can his current transfer value be established?

If he stays, there is a good chance of promotion, with all the dosh that the PL delivers = say £100 million in season 1 ( in round numbers).

If he leaves, the chances diminish in a very big way = say £0 PL money.

Transfermarket says we paid about £350k but that is now irrelevant.

A striker that almost guarantees goals must surely be worth at least £20 million to the likes of Brentford if Ivan Toney is out for a while.

So what price tag can SAFC reasonably put on him?

And – contractually – how can SAFC hold to that price? Is there any reason why they cannot?
He can sign a pre contract with clubs tomorrow. Reduces his value massively

Pre his injury and the form he was in I would suggest £20m.

His injury will come into the valuation inquest, and yes any one can get an injury but it’s on his record.

I would say £12m as he is for January.

If we keep him until the end of season and his form gets 25 goals + then he will return to £20-£25m

Hes came back from injury and scored in every game hes played. 12 million for January with no other strikers is absolutely comical. If we are to sell him i hope wed get a replacement in first because other clubs would want more knowing weve just cashed in on him. You pay alot more in January regardless.
Some of you are living in fantasy land with 15-20 million with 6 months left on contract with one year option.
You said he was worth 3-5 million ffs

Agree with those others on here that £15m should be the minimum.
He's better than many examples of strikers sold around the £8-£10m mark in excess of 5 years ago.
