Ross Stewart valuation question

Supporters would say at least 25-30 million

Club i think would accept 10 Mill with added extras

If we finish higher than half way this season and make a profit on players and gate money it will be classed as a success by the owners

Accepting 10m would be rank stupidity though as then you have to replace him. That becomes harder to do on the cheap the higher you go as you need time with younger players or those from lower levels, but you would also need them to hit the ground running in the Championship or risk your project and their confidence/development.

12-15m and he’ll be away and we can’t grumble unless he’s going to Boro or Stoke for more wages than us. It’s the championship equivalent of Bent going to Aston Villa.

Can't be @Eric gates hair thinks we'd accept 5 if offered so we should snap off anyone's hands offering 10

His valuation is as laughable as what you think we'd accept.

It always happens, an element of our fans consistently undervalue our players as if negotiating on behalf of other clubs.

When I and others were saying we shouldn't accept less than £30m for Pickford, you had people suggesting he was only worth £10m  same happened when we sold Henderson.

Neither of those clubs will be forking out that sort of money on Stewart though. If Boro do, they're taking a big risk and I don't think they'll be willing to offer big wages.

I'd imagine club's would offer 10 to 15 but at present he's worth more than that to us as he's the only striker we've got. That might all change over the next month but at present even 10 million would be a ridiculous amount to accept

If he is definitely in the shop window and there's a bidding war going on, his price could reach a point where he and us couldn't refuse. I think £15m would be his ceiling.

His value is what someone is willing to pay…..

With every performance his stock and value goes up, with everyday getting closer to his contract coming to an end it goes down.

Comparing his value to that of Ollie Watkins or whatever is absolutely pointless as the contract situation isn’t the same.

Taking what i posted completely out of context . At no point did I post MY valuation of
Him.

I posted that I think the club would take 5m for him. If that was offered .

That's exactly what I said you had posted
It's also ridiculously laughable at present that you think the club would do that

It’s laughable you think they wouldn’t to be honest .

Why? Who have we sold recently under the current regime that was massively under what his valuation is that makes you think this? You said earlier you think they would but provided no reasons as to why

British and as close to a harry kane figure you’ll see right now so taking into account a deduction for being in the championship £30m-£40m. I’m being very serious. he's quite unique in ability.
Nobody and I mean absolutely nobody apart from you thinks he is worth 40m quid. What on earth are you using to get to that valuation?

Just the model we seem to be running (which I’m not against ) is buy cheap sell for profit .
