me? What have I said thats racist??
There are some f***ing idiots on here like.. hence the sing what we want shite.. patheticWhy do you think the player himself has put a video out asking for it to be stopped? Because it’s shit? We’ve had plenty of shit songs, never a video asking them to be stopped.
Because the original was a good song. Sunderland’s version, with different lyrics, is embarrassing. How's it a good song if the lyrics are crap and inappropriate?
The lyrics were known two months ago, they were all over social media. The authorities scour social media for racist, sexist, hate crime. There’s no doubt whatsoever they’ll have seen and heard what was being sang. Very naive to think otherwise.Like the player, nee one had a clue what was being sang. Its not its really obvious when its being sang in the stands until its pointed out. And it's only recently came to people's attention through social media.
It's being sang for him because he is black. No other reason. Simple as that.
But the club haven’t dealt with it, which goes back to the original point. If it’s racist why hasn’t it been dealt with? They try to let the club deal with it first, just as they did with Spurs with the y** army chant, they weren’t deducted points etc.
Maybe they should have been.
What are they waiting for? Perhaps they don’t see it as bad as people on here are making out.It probably will lead to all that if you keep singing it

Viva Ronaldo by Man Utd fans. What was the original?
Marvellous contribution to a rational debateThick ^
He is numb.
Honestly mate, you are thick as shite.
I guess changing the lyrics to 'smallest dick' won't remedy the situation, then? There's no pleasing some people!Ive written to the club in the hope they start identifying people continuing to sing racist songs.
You keep on arguing it out that it’s not racist mateBecause the original was a good song. Sunderland’s version, with different lyrics, is embarrassing.

I don’t think it is. Fine that some think it is but I disagree, respectfully I might add.You keep on arguing it out that it’s not racist mate
What authorities? I think there has to be a complaint to get the police involved. Maybe people are hoping it fizzles out before a complaint is madeI don’t think it is. Fine that some think it is but I disagree, respectfully I might add.
Like I said, if it was racist do you not think the authorities would be all over it - the club and the fans?
Why do you think the fans are singing a song about a black man having a large penis? Answer honestlyI don’t think it is. Fine that some think it is but I disagree, respectfully I might add.

The FA and EFL are both capable of sanctioning the club and fans and have acted in the past. The PFA and Kick It Out haven’t got the authority but are both swift enough to highlight cases and work with the authorities to bring cases to resolution. What authorities? I suppose its ambiguous enough for the f.a not to open that can of worms. I mean, look what John Terry got away with. It's definitely racist though. The FA and EFL are both capable of sanctioning the club and fans and have acted in the past. It appears nobody has acted in the two months since the lyrics became evident.
There were people at the match on Saturday who were not aware of the words. Just because the words were evident to you doesn’t mean they weren’t evident to everyone. The club/player have asked people to stop singing it. I’m not aware of any instance in which a club has asked their fans to stop singing a song before because it’s shit. It is a song based on racial stereotypes, that much is not open for debate. The FA and EFL are both capable of sanctioning the club and fans and have acted in the past. Well thankfully Diallo and the club have asked for us to stop singing it before we do face any punishment from the FA.It’s a good song, but the lyrics are crap and inappropriate. Personally don’t think it’s racist.
Some people do however and I would ask them, if it is racist how come nothing has been done about it before now? By that I mean charges brought against the club, sanctions, fines, police investigations, etc. Given the FA’s stance over the last couple of years regarding actual racism in football (Bulgaria and Hungary away, cyber racism after euros) you’d have thought they’d be all over this if they deemed it racist.
The club have dealt with it. They put out a video with Diallo asking fans not to sing it.Because the original was a good song. Sunderland’s version, with different lyrics, is embarrassing.

It isn't a hate crime, nobody is claiming the people singing it are doing so to abuse Diallo. It isn't in anyone's interests to arrest anyone for it - in 99.9% of cases it is ignorant more than anything else - people thinking it's funny and edgy to sing about a black man having a big cock.Because the original was a good song. SebImagine being so numb you actually thought a player was knowingly dancing in front of thousands to a song about his cock![]()
