We’ll sing what we want

It’s a good song, but the lyrics are crap and inappropriate. Personally don’t think it’s racist.

Some people do however and I would ask them, if it is racist how come nothing has been done about it before now? By that I mean charges brought against the club, sanctions, fines, police investigations, etc. Given the FA’s stance over the last couple of years regarding actual racism in football (Bulgaria and Hungary away, cyber racism after euros) you’d have thought they’d be all over this if they deemed it racist.

To be fair I don’t think the 37k in the stadium on Saturday are on here marra.

Doesn't take much to drown out a few hundred. Easy excuse to just say there's nowt you can do. There absolutely is. Get up and sing over the top otherwise it'll never change.

Oh I agree marra a few round me sang “he’s much too quick for the championship “ at the offending part.

The lyrics have to be changed completely otherwise it just sounds the same and morphs into the same shite.

Finding a word that rhymes with dick and just swapping it into the offending lyric doesn't help 🤣

That’s probably very true, I think it just came from people trying to change it quickly

Me and my mate were just repeating Amad Diallo over the offending lyrics. It's really unoriginal and a bit boring but it shows support for a top player without offending him. I confronted someone who was finding it funny to try and outsing us with the offending bit.

Challenge dickheads who don't get it is my attitude to it.

Like the player, nee one had a clue what was being sang. Its not its really obvious when its being sang in the stands until its pointed out. And it's only recently came to people's attention through social media.

It's being sang for him because he is black. No other reason. Simple as that.

They try to let the club deal with it first, just as they did with Spurs with the y** army chant, they weren’t deducted points etc.

Maybe they should have been.

It probably will lead to all that if you keep singing it

Because he had nee idea until it was pointed out (and responded) hence he was dancing in front of thousands to a song about his nob
well then he made an informed decision on the content and wants it stopped-simple. i cant see any reason why any player should have to put it a song they dislike...

Its truly astounding they can't grasp it

It's not that they can't grasp it, it's that they don't want to grasp it. That's the difference.

Amad finds it offensive therefore it's offensive. There's literally nowt more to it and there's nowt more to grasp than that. There's no need to respond with "but why". It's there, spelled out in simple language.

Haven't you heard? He doesn't. He loves it. But the club have forced him to say its offensive. If he had his way he'd have 40k singing about his nob whilst he danced with joy.

And these people walk amongst us
