He's now settled into our team and starting to show us how good he is and long may it continue.
If he wants the song to stop then that should be respected it shouldn't be sung anymore or the club should issue a statement to that effect.
I don't know how loan agreements work but it would be a crying shame if we lose him & he's recalled back to Utd over a song.

I am not getting this line of argument.

You are effectively saying its OK to sing a racist song about one of our players, but if that same player then objects to the racist song being sung about him, it should then stop being sung.

Fact is it was racist before he asked us to stop singing it and he has only asked us to stop singing it because it is racist. It's not hard to understand.

I'm just wondering that if the reason for everyone not to sing it isn't there would people just move to another reason? Like this.

And does your answer here mean that we must respect every player who requests not to be sung about?

None of this is in any way an argument to sing any particular song. Rather I'm wondering how far we can tell people not to do something with conviction? Racial stereotypes are obvious, but is that it?
