It's a farce at times when summit happens. That penna incident had Suarez into the ref before looking at VAR and then both Suarez and Nunez giving him shite after awarding the penna. Then the keeper and Coates both had a winge at the ref. There was 5 Ghana players standing on the penna spot yet Nunez still sticks his boot into the deck between them and then griefs the ref after getting a yellow card for it. The ref awarded the penna after reviewing VAR and it took 2 mins 20 secs for it to be taken.

The pathetic behaviour doesn't end there because after the penna is save #15 Valverde does a Keown on Ruud van Nistelrooy'esque celebration towards the ref. What did the ref do? Fuck all as he just looks at Valverde yet didn't book him. What on earth is the ref allowing all this shite for or is he just that weak a ref he can't sort it and make the players know who is the boss? I wonder what Pierluigi Collina must be thinking watching this? He wouldn't have allowed this childish shite yet why are their spineless refs like this that allow players to walk all over them?

It's pathetic at times and Suarez gave the ref grief again after his card. They need to sort out players going at the ref but also need some simple rules for a penna. When a penna is given the keeper goes to his line and the penna taker takes ball to spot. The rest get out the box immediately and do not grief the ref once the decision is made as he won't be changing his mind anyway (presuming VAR already has been finished with). Anyone who doesn't do it within a reasonable time gets books, simple but effective though they obviously won't implement something as simple as that.

This is top level with school yard behaviour yet rugby isn't anywhere near the low level that football is still allowed to go to. The problem being is that the lower down the leagues you go the worse it gets and that's why you have refs who gets an absolute shit load of grief and even physical shite towards them.

This again! The ref at the end was embarrassing, waved his cards but then disappeared off down the tunnel as quick as he could. He brought it all upon himself as he let them walk all over him throughout the game.

Makes it even sweeter that Uruguay have been knocked out though :lol::lol::lol::lol:

I'd claim that it is actually the same every World Cup. 3rd round of the group stage is the absolute best to watch. The drama is always there.
People, and that includes yours truly, just always seem to forget
