Craft Beer

Sounds class that mate, very jealous. Hire an escooter and head out to BdlS, it's worth it just to neck a pint of Taras Boulba and Zenne Pils straight from the source. They've got a canny outdoor space but, erm, probably not the weather for it in November. :)

I'd recommend trying out the Brussels Beer Project taproom and Brasserie Surrealiste in Dansaert. Both very contrasting spaces to the old brown bars! Surrealiste has an interesting toilet area...

Moeder Lambic is great too, and GIST just around the corner. Man Brussels is such a great city for drinking.
Only managed BdlS out of those (spent a few hours there) but I’ve put them on the list for next time. Hopped on the e-scooters when travelling back from there, quite nippy aren’t they

I’m absolutely knackered today. Relieved to be working from home.

Town Mouse was chocker last night. Was amongst a caramel stout that was 13%.
Worked my way through a few cask offerings too (includung a nice roasty stout from Pomona Island and a thick sweet porter from North Riding).

Might have a couple watching the match tomorrow. Thinking I’ll take it left field (for my tastes) & get stuck into these three

Beer52 receiving a fair bit of slack after posting these adverts. Not a good look for them.

They’ve apologised

Thought it was a twatty ad to run, cos they do have a poor level of beer vs a lot of bottle shops. To even try & pretend they’re on the same level as Rehills, or House of Trembling Madness is daft.

However, their reply does seem heartfelt & genuine. Good on them for owning up. As a consequence they should start selling Omnipollo at £2 a bottle.
f***ing hell man, this is why I stick with stouts. Have I done something wrong here? Stored in the fridge for about 9 months like

Dunno what's gone on there but I've had two exploding cans from S43 and one from Vaux. All IPAs. The latter gave me four free tins of my choice as a good will gesture.

It’s all just settled to the bottom of the can in those 9 months. Should have given it a good shake a couple of days before opening. I found it awful at the time mind so you probably haven’t missed much.

There yer gan.

You know it’s not my normal bag, but it was canny. Tried that raspberry vault city tesco carry on & it was shite.
Never keep my gear in the fridge until the day I'm going to have it. Mind, the kitchen is always cool (keep them in a basket in there).
I’ve got a beer fridge. All in there, they get warmed up for 20mins prior to drinking.

That Tesco vocation mint stout thing is shit by the way.

Death Star III is class. Like somebody’s mended a galaxy caramel into a can & added alcohol. You’d struggle with more than one but I think it’s great.

Probably their most extreme "beer" that. Tasted like a peanut butter and jam "sick in the mouth" when it was fresh. Christ knows what it must taste like now.
