Saudi Arabia wants its investors to own Manchester United and Liverpool

They just want to buy political influence in the country. Not much difference to what the Russians were doing and that ended well.

The idea that Liverpool fans or Man Utd fans would oppose it is ludicrous. They’d roll out the red carpet as much as Newcastle fans did.
Ultimately people are quick to put their morals aside if it means success on the pitch

Can't believe people are for this just to make the mags worse off. Absolute hypocrites.

They should be nowhere near the english game, or football in general. An independent regulator is needed asap, and it's worrying that one of the biggest advocates and voices for an independent regulator (Gary Neville) has lost all credibility.

I think there’s plenty on here and a lot more that aren’t that would disagree with you. Then again you never know how people will react until it happens but I’d like to think that overall our moral compass is more reliable than our fucknut, sycophant friends up the road

Do you still boo the knee at your place?

Independent regulators don’t work. We have them for energy companies and bookies and they are f***ing useless.

You'd be happy if the Saudis owned Man U?

Exactly, our fans saying they'd be happy if the House of Saud ditched the mags and bought Man Utd are proving the mags right when they say we're only bothered about the Saudis because they bought them.
Some of our fans need to think more.

Not at all. No one’s saying they’d be happy for the Saudis to be in football as long as it’s not the mags. They’re saying after the way the mags have gone on, it would be funny if they were dropped in favour of another team (not that that will happen).

Also, we know the Saudis will buy success for whichever club they own so hardly surprising our fans would prefer it to be anyone other than our bitter rivals.

I'd probably say someone who is "laughing their tits off" is displaying a sign of happiness tbf.
At my place? What are you trying to ask? Fucknut…

Do Sunderland fans still boo the knee?

I'm assuming Sunderland fans will oppose it. Alot of fans showing there true colours on this thread

Sunderland fans have already opposed the Saudis state being allowed to use the PL to sports wash and would welcome them being kicked out, like Abramavich.

The subject here is whether they swap one club for another.

Do you still dance around with a tea towel on your head at yours?

"Deflect, Deflect, Deflect".

None that I know.. a few daft young pricks off their rocks but nobody with any sense

None that I know.. a few daft young pricks off their rocks but nobody with any sense.. why? Does nobody boo it at Sid James?

No.

Sunderland had to stop taking the knee to save themselves any further embarrassment from fans booing. So I'd say that it was significantly more than "a few daft young pricks".

Point is, spare me the lectures about moral compass, etc when Sunderland fans boo the knee. Especially considering a few on here have made it perfectly clear as to their real reasoning for PIF owning us.
