Will a wealthy mega billionaire ever put a bid into buying Sunderland?

Don’t think that’s the reason for Man City. Biggish fan base in a big city that hasn’t won anything in ages

Exactly why it took 14 years to get rid of Ashley. Many left but the attendance remains that of an average PL team

You are kidding yourself if you think your fanbase aren’t the same

Liverpool pushed Man City all the way last season and they haven’t won a CL yet. They are also second currently
No fan base in the world would go on like your immoral idiots, jumping around with tea towels on their heads, mass party outside the ground, saudi flags, having a go at khashoggis lass, marches on Parliament, saudi picky teas, a petition with 120,000 names on it,defend saudi manuals. Did man city or psg go on like this? Nope. And considering a canny few of our fan base stopped going/ wrestled with their conscience over a manager giving a fascist gesture, I think their would've been uproar at actual fascist murderous dictators taking over. Please don't lump us in with you arseholes

No.

When you’re talking takeovers by sovereign wealth funds or mega-rich investors, it’s as much about the city and location as it is about the club.

Unfortunately, Sunderland just isn’t a very attractive proposition and there are better options out there.
Wait till we're Hollywood of Europe. They'll be queueing up ;)

Yeah I’d love nothing more than watching my team house the worlds best players and play superb pretty much every week. Who wouldn’t ? Why would you ever want to lose or draw a game ?
Plus the champions league provides the big completion which they Havnt won (yet) !!

Would you not want though to visit the likes of the nou camp / San Siro to watch your team play ? I’m sorry like but I can’t understand the mentality of not wanting to watch your team at the pinnacle of club football.
Why not watch Man City play Fulwell Under 8's, they'd win by loads. That would be fun to watch wouldn't it... oh hang on, no it would be shit.

Winning stuff by cheating the system is completely hollow. It's not the pinnacle of club football, it's the pinnacle of using vast wealth to buy an advantage.
I agree with that like, although I do wanna see us in the PL, I just don't care about the top end of it. In an ideal world the super league will take away the oil money clubs in a few years and leave behind something more competitive.
This^^^ let the sovereign wealth funds go and play in their own league.

I want a competition not a tourist attraction.

Not if it meant relinquishing my morals for it to happen.

Bollix, Sunderland to me is a no brainer for any billionaire to play with his spare cash if you do it the right way.
I'm not saying we're a bad option at all. I just think there are better options for the ultra-wealthy.
Don't be silly
To be fair, in another lifetime, I did work in inward investment and spent half of my time pitching opportunities to sovereign wealth funds.

...As above, not saying we're a bad option, just that there's better out there.

They didn’t have Ashley

To me, I’d much rather do it the way Leicester have than Chelsea or City.
