Are we destined just to be a yoyo club

Why cos I'm concerned we are going to be a yoyo club between Champ and lge 1 .
Do I not have a right to be concerned like .
What will it take for yous to question the board or model .
What will it take for you too think Mowbray is not the man
I'm curios
Why don’t you try answering the above question - you moan about lack of investment, yet you don’t even know how much we have actually invested.
Players of the calibre of Jack Clarke and Patrick Roberts, for example, don’t sell for pennies.
People talk rubbish at times on here, TM didn't look deflated at all, he looked how he's always looks. Funny how none of these threads are started if we win a game
People see things they want to see - negative agendas from negative people.

Investment isn't just about splashing money on signings.
It's tying down your best players on decent contracts and not selling off any kid with a glimpse of talent.
Valid point; but I'm certain thats not what the OP means in his post
Also, when was the last time we did that?

Give me strength......who is this OP....Victor Meldrew?.....How about in 6 years we might be in the Vanarama National League playing Dorking Wanderers.....Sunderland Council have reclaimed the land for the SOL and have built a fishing lake but all the fish have died due to algae poisoning ,,,,,,the Academy of Light was hit by a wayward firework and burnt to the ground and the Wheatsheaf has gone bankrupt and become a Newcastle United Supporters shop.
I like fishing. Will they restock the lake? Cause for a bit optimism there after all.

Nobody yet.
But they've clearly stated what the model is.

All clubs sell players though mate.

We’re led to believe the model will let us sell players for a profit while bring through similar players to replace them and repeat the process.

It’s the right way to go for us imo and hopefully it works.

Rather be a yo-yo club than tread water for years on end like a Preston. At least when we were in the Premier League the last third of the season was exciting, I’d rather that every few years than 13th every year.

Some of the noises coming out the club this week and even Mowbray himself seems to suggest we just gonna be a club that has its limits . Think the premier league days are a thing of the past unless we get some investment .
Saddens me how we have become
If the premier league is the thing of the past then what are we going to yo-yo between? I’ve been going since 1980 and since then we’ve never been anything else!

yes ..and there is nothing we can do about it so turn up or dont its your choice! If we sell Stewart to a championship club that will nail our owners ambitions to the mast for me and it will be the final straw and i will no longer give them any of my money! When you realise its getting to the point where top prem players are getting yearly salaries equal to what our club is worth it sobers you up to how far behind we are!SAFC will allways survive as i doubt the attending fan numbers will ever drop below 20 thousand no matter where we are in the league.... We will just be content with being part of the background scenery of football ..you have no production without the scenery but the main attraction and action is on the stage !

we have loads of investment and more cash than many of the teams higher up the league..

almost evry club in the world sells their best players for profit..
why should safc be any different?
It depends how it’s done. If we sell a player for 10 million are we going to replace him with a 6-7 million pound replacement or a 500,000 one? I’m guessing the later with the current ownership

You didn't go when we had a ten year run in the prem then?We dont have to yo yo........... we just need better owners!

The trick is to sell our best players at top price when you know you have a replacement of equal footballing ability in your ranks or available just at a cheaper price! If your selling just to pay the bills and nothing is invested back into the club thats when the problems start.

Short wasn't a better owner. In thatv10nyear period we probably sacked the most managers and spent tens of millions in reshaping a squad to barely survive each season apart from the odd one or two.

Ultimately, the bad work that was done in the Prem under Short, took us to League One. The over reaching each season, the people in charge not knowing the first f***ing thing about football, the rip it up and start again model which seen us with out of favour players on massive wages with no sell on value each season.

Aye those 10 great years eh?...just look at the price we've paid for it now.

Of course I went but it was 10 years of keeping our heads above water and usually only just.. we never established ourselves or improved and we sold our best players.. the 10th under Bruce was a last minute fluke. What’s your point?
