Are we destined just to be a yoyo club

I remember the second seventh place finish in the Premier League under Peter Reid was not greeted with unbridled admiration.
And when we finished tenth ( ok we jumped 4 places on the last day ) under Bruce, most supporters thought it a stepping stone to the next level.

I'm talking about championship and league one m8

Why would I love it like ? The past few years have been the lowlife of my 40 years of going pal . Never seen it or felt so bad that's why I'm clinging onto the hope we might be back one day

It's just the way things seems at the club . It's soeakmans way or none even dull Tony looks deflated now man
People talk rubbish at times on here, TM didn't look deflated at all, he looked how he's always looks. Funny how none of these threads are started if we win a game

Give me strength......who is this OP....Victor Meldrew?.....How about in 6 years we might be in the Vanarama National League playing Dorking Wanderers.....Sunderland Council have reclaimed the land for the SOL and have built a fishing lake but all the fish have died due to algae poisoning ,,,,,,the Academy of Light was hit by a wayward firework and burnt to the ground and the Wheatsheaf has gone bankrupt and become a Newcastle United Supporters shop.

The owners’ aim is for us to be a top 10 club, the problem is that it may take longer than we want and if we finally get there then the aim may be for us to be a top 12 club or something like that. However, neither of those though imply yoyo.
It might not take longer than we want, this season isn't even half way through yet, a few wins and you climb quickly up the table.

More like Marvin the Paranoid Android.

Some of the noises coming out the club this week and even Mowbray himself seems to suggest we just gonna be a club that has its limits . Think the premier league days are a thing of the past unless we get some investment .
Saddens me how we have become
I’m also quite concerned and think the owners get off lightly. We are signing young players and play decent football so I understand why people don’t mind that but what people haven’t seen yet is the other side to that model where any good players will be sold for a profit. Believe me people will change mood very quickly if we are just flogging our best players all the time. I’m guessing stewart will be the first.

we have loads of investment and more cash than many of the teams higher up the league..

If people had a bit of common sense and understood how a model actually worked, then people wouldn't kick off or go crying about it.

The negativity by people like the OP after any defeat, helps propel the club into a yoyo state, because these types are yoyo people, when people piss their knickers If we lose a game, it only helps erode the confidence of other supporters, and brings about a negative atmosphere, the yoyo situation is brought about by the very people that moan about it.
