I've no interest in buying top players who have no love for the club.

I don't see what Man City have done as a genuine achievement; they've just hacked the game by investing more money than anyone else could. I want to support a club, not a company.

Watching games where Man City have 80% possession is as dull as a game can be. The most entertaining games are finely balanced open-attacking games.

It's quite conflicting as I enjoy watching us in the championship and want to see us win it, but I've no desire to watch us in the premier league against teams backed by countries. It's completely hollow.

To yourself maybe, but I’d wager the Man City fans who are week in week out KDB, Harland etc destroy teams with their unbelievably good football are rather enjoying it and won’t care in the slightest what the neutrals may think.

its not that they are ONLY vailable if they urchased the club BUT....the PR of owning the club makes things like planning perission easier to achive..gives them an in with local policy makers etc..see man city owners making millions from deals there..
why else do you think the rueben brothers are involved at newcastle..for the love of the game?

And there lies a difficulty.
Whilst we know these States have abhorent human rights records, the Premier League can hardly say that they are not fit and proper, when governments around the world, including ours, are forced to do business with them (oil etc.)

Can't really stop it from happening unfortunately.

I agree with that like, although I do wanna see us in the PL, I just don't care about the top end of it. In an ideal world the super league will take away the oil money clubs in a few years and leave behind something more competitive.

Sorry, but I don't agree. Are you suggesting that the council planning department will break its own rules because the club's owners make an application? The planning inspectorate checks the planners, so I doubt many would want to put their jobs on the line to appease football club owners.
 
With FFP it makes no difference, look at Stoke my club whose owners the Coates family are multi billionaires and can’t spend their money , imagine if McDonald’s, Costa , Starbucks etc couldn’t invest in their businesses because of a closed shop premier league rules

Well the local MP went out of her way to make sure they got in, there'll be plenty of lobbying going on with them promising not only property development for themselves to profit on but also to invest in local infrastructure projects to benefit the City and make it look like the local elected council / leaders are doing a great job for the area and keep their cushy jobs going.

no but i am sayng that owning the club is good PR...that they can have better relationships..
i am not talking about council planning departments..thats small time shit..

why do you think the property developer rueben brithers, who are jewish (so not natural allies of saudis0 are in on the deal)
