South Stand Muppets

It’s not just the south stand , there was a pie thrown at a Cardiff player in the second half from the east stand and something thrown at the Cardiff goalkeeper from the north stand at the final whistle.

Of course the cowards that chuck stuff onto the pitch won’t come on here and explain their actions. The behaviour of some in the south stand has been a problem for a while now.

Becs you can add that racist Amad chant to your list an all.
Sung almost unanimously at huddersfield in the week. Don’t think everyone there will all sit in the south stand

Even if it was balled up card from the display, it makes a mockery of us criticising away fans if we through stuff at opponents.

Even worse when it stops us taking corners because officials need to clear the pitch & while they’re doing so, people are still hoying stuff on the pitch. The match was actually stopped (albeit for 30seconds) because if stuff thrown on the pitch.

Every paper display we have is hoyed on the pitch so yesterday wasn’t a big deal imo, usually paper aeroplanes. They could put someone’s eye out mind so the club should act on this. The paper can also get wet and cause a slipping hazard.

First time I’ve ever seen the game stopped mind because of it

1) people were throwing poppy display paper balls on the pitch at our players when they were attacking.

2) someone has been ejected for using a laser pen

3) groundstaff are clearing paper balls of pitch at half time, so people are throwing more on

4) paper balls thrown at the soldiers doing the half time challenge

What the hell is the matter with folks? I'm vexed 🤬
Better performance from the south stand than the team and manager by the sounds of it.

The game was stopped & as the referee & linesman were clearing the pitch, our fans decided to hoy more stuff on. While we had a corner.

I know hoying a balled up bit of card isn’t anywhere near as bad as coins or vapes from a height, but regardless, since the last home game we’ve been in the national media sating what actions we’re taking to stop this. Then the next match people from the home end hoy stuff at celebrating opposition players. It’s just thickheededness that represents not just those that threw rolled up bits of card at opposition players, but Sunderland supporters in general.

Like me and you ?
Unfortunately yes. We know me & you (I’m assuming with you, but you seem canny ;)) are good decent people. But football fans get lumped together very often. If there was any comment on this following from national news stories last week, it will talk about Sunderland fans, not a minority from a small section of the ground. Same was Cardiff fans couldn’t have coins due to Coventry & Burnley.

It was a bingo dabber thrown at Ryan Allsop 🤷‍♀️

Also heard a toy dog was thrown too. Do we need to ban pens and soft toys now?!

Society is starting to break down. Football supporting is going backwards
Time for banning orders on fans found using Class A drugs 😜 😜 😜 😜

Or deluxe A4 photocopying paper

Astounds me that with a (fairly decent sized) police control box right above them at the south stand (which was build there originally with the intention of keeping a close presence to the away fans who used to be there), the stewards and police can't simply pick out the arsehats by eye or with cameras and eject them.

Hardly ever see (can't remember this season so far) anyone physically being picked out, the police going up to them and dragging them out.

Seems to be a recurring theme every game now, south stand scruffs.
I'm starting to really dislike our fan base if I'm honest. There's a growing number that are complete bellends.

It's the growing number of scruffy chav bairns who go in big groups and try to act hard. It's cringeworthy.

Only really been noticeable over the last 4/5 years (max).

I remember when the south stand was a comfortable place to watch the match, horrible now. We moved our SC seats because of it.

Yeah, I’ll be moving next season, some proper horrible brainless fans in there.

They were throwing coins aswel man, given the amount of publicity lately about away fans doing it they are doing it now. So it IS as bad as it sounds.
I was replying to the op who didn’t mention coins. And from what I’ve heard in here something was thrown from every stand not just the south stand. The only video evidence is from the north stand.

A bet you threw your tampax at someone didn’t you, you little tinker.
