Away Fans at SOL Update

But we're not talking about that, we're talking about confiscating money in order to get into the ground.

FFS, this is insane.

Aye that's not going to happen and they'd be mad to even try.

Random story for you.
I was at the last game at Feethams. Loads of us had decided to get dressed up in fancy dress - no idea why. It just seemed like the thing to do.
Someone I knew came dressed as Buggs Bunny and the stewards confiscated his carrot. Me and a mate walked in with water pistols and not even checked.

The world isn't cashless though. The train isn't, the pub, the offy, the chippy, or every other place an away fan might go.

And vapes. Something that a vaper will have in their pocket all day everyday. So they're just going to throw it away to get into the stadium?

This is stupid.
Our lass, no, vapes and judging by the furore when she loses it for a minute, there is no way a true vapor would kess their pipe into the away fans.

This....utterly bonkers!

Why do people say there will be hell on outside if they go to the SE corner? They were in the south stand from the very beginning and the stewards and police seemed to manage ok. I can't remember any reports of widespread trouble.
They were only moved because Ellis Short thought it looked bad on TV when the block was half empty if I recall.

I'm an ex smoker and can't stand vapes, but the though of taking it off someone because some Wigan and Burnley fans are twats is just ridiculous.

They can't even stop flares and smoke bombs getting in, so not sure how they think they are going to enforce this anyway.

This club man, sometimes I despair.

And someone’s vape! I mean I’m not a smoker / vaper but surely this is something someone has about their person all the time and it presumably costs a bit of cash. They ain’t just going to hoy it in the bin 🤷🏻‍♂️ It’s bonkers 😂

You'd think it's inevitable now they'll move away fans in summer. For me, the easiest solution is to put them in the family section and move family section elsewhere. Could even just straight swap away fans and family section.

What happens when our idiots throw coins because all clubs have idiots, are the away fans allowed to throw them back.
Have you ever seen Sunderland fans throwing coins? If so that is disgraceful and those responsible should be identified and banned.

Wasn’t it because the mags used to charge us more and we weren’t able to do it to them because they were in the lower bowl?
North Stand behind goal surely for away fans

Not with the black cats bar seats there

By making it a condition of entry.

It’s entirely practical given that the stadium is cashless anyway and you can have an away day without cash in your pocket with contactless payments and Apple pay.
You should read that back again and then consider the make up of our own away support as an example....ridiculous.

They're going to take people's vapes and coins?!

Disgrace that really.

Get them chucked at the home fans before you get in the ground, to avoid SAFC pinching them off you.

Can't please some folk.
Wankers have been chucking coins, so the club bans away fans bringing in coins.
Perfectly straightforward given that everything is pay by card or smart app.

Apparently that's an "embarrassment" and "mad".
FFS, some of you are never satisfied.
It's absolutely ridiculous and a complete embarrassment.

The introduction of netting was also discussed with Supporters’ Groups, but it was agreed that netting by itself would not prevent the full range of missiles that have been thrown this season.
Netting surely would of stopped the Glass Bottle chucked by Coventry arseholes earlier in the season . And I'm sure Vapes wouldn't get through the netting ,surely the more safety things in place the better
