Don't have many 6 footers. Stewart and simms win a lot of headers on their set plays. First goal could of been avoided if they were on the pitch. Playing at that Intensity for the first half an hour of a game your obviously gona have to defend at some point. Especially against the best team in the league. U can't tell me they wouldn't of helped in both defending and holding the ball up yesterday second half when everyone was tiring? Don't think it's a poor excuse. That's my opinion.
In Danny Batth, we had the tallest player on the pitch (1.9m).
We started the game with 5 players who are 1.8m or over, Burnley had only 4. One of those was Ashley Barnes (1.86m), who did frig all, and was replaced with Manuel Benson (1.78m), who scored and assisted.
The median height for both starting lineups was 1.76m.
We lost the second half 4 nowt. Burnley were premier league last season and we were league 1 is right enough. Tony Mowbray strictly speaking is correct but I think Pope, Mee, Tarkowski and Macneil leaving makes them weaker than last season. He seems to have discarded those stats in his assessment of their strengths over us.
Some people were going on about our young lads and us not having a great deal of Championship experience in comparison, yet they had a 20 year old at centre half in Harwood-Bellis and he dominated. Granted he's had loan spells at Blackburn, Anderlecht and Stoke, but he's still a boy.
Zaroury caused us a lot of problems - 20 year, 8 appearances in English football. Signed from the Belgian league.
Vitinho, 23 at left back also signed from the Belgian leagues - also in his first season in English football.
Second half yesterday was hard to take. We were poor in possession and their change of shape meant that both Hume and Cirkin were constantly targeted and exposed.
It is disappointing that TM was unable to respond to that from a tactical perspective - I don't think he did respond.
Similar performances going forward will see us struggle at the wrong end of the table.
However, yesterday was the first time this season that we looked lost and out of our depth and this was on the back of a vg FH performance.
The league as a whole will remain tight for a while yet, most teams on any given day are capable of beating each other.
Our injury situation is having an impact and will continue to do so for a while yet. Let's see what the next two or three games bring, if we get back to being competitive, involved and in the game both halves then I think we will be fine.
That's what worries me.
They dominated the game from the delayed restart after our second goal, and we didn't do a thing about it. Conceded a goal early in the second half - no response. Kept doing the same things. Turning the ball over cheaply. Concede again and it continued.
You're two nil up - look after the ball. Cut out the blind passes, back heels and flicks, and look after the ball. Take the sting out of the game. We showed we were technically proficient enough to play around them to get the goals in the first place. Keep the ball and be patient with it. Wind the clock down.
