Burnley fans on Carley Road

Home and away fans getting on and talking in a pub, doesn't make headlines....

Coked up bellends causing trouble does....

The former is what the vast majority would love, before & after a match (win lose or draw...) a bit of time to crack on in a boozer. I've done it many times, but t's becoming increasingly difficult....
totally agree, been birmingham away and sunderland away this week while dealing with a shit week at work

met loads of sound football fans and had a great time

i am not some soft lad, i am a normal guy who likes football and loves his club, if u wanna come at me i will go with ya lets have it...but i go to football for a good day/night out

those glorifying violence should have a word with themselves

At the traffic lights down from the Colliery Tavern towards Tesco there was a canny little 20 v 20, just young uns but they were properly game, they chased the Burnley lot down past the Vic club and there was a few left on the deck. Went on for a good 10 minutes and was the best entertainment of the day.
You sad old man getting a kick out of watching kids fight.

People fighting over football man. It's f***ing embarrassing truth be told. Nobody thinks it's clever. I left on 85 mins and just as well. Violence is the last thing my 8 year old who suffers with anxiety needs to see.

They need to grow the fuck up.

exactly this mate, i am well up for all the shouting and giving shit all match its part of the atmosphere

but your 8 year old (i am guessing) loves the football and shouldnt be seeing shit like that

to be honest all i see these days is a pushy shovey shit anyway but its enough to scare kids, girls, old people

its not on in 2022

everyone should be able to go enjoy a game and feel safe, any of you wondering about coming to Burnley dont be put off, get yourselves down the cricket club everytime its a great day out and u wont get any shit (unless u wanna go look for some obv) the Bridge Bier Haus is also away friendly pub and does amazing ales and great pies and peas, top tip for ya, go in with colours its all good

edit:
gonna throw this in there too...first time i ever went to stadium of light and i f***ing like it, thats some ground that is

Im not gloryfying dj just reporting what i saw.
I was a casual observer more concerned that my son or his girlfriend would get dragged into it, as they have responsible jobs.
I would have preferred it didnt happen, but it did.
To be honest I am more surprised that after 4 years of mobs of young uns coming up taking the piss out of families, and lads by themselves, there now seems to be an active small group who seem prepared to turn the tide .
I have no truck with ANY fan of any club.

I like Burnley, always always mates who are fans. Mind, 1995 was a tad barmy. I ended up with a day in the cells and a ban.
I've always found them like us, a proud working class town where you'll be generally welcome unless you take the piss.
Someone once posted about back in the day the boards of the two clubs were thick as thieves, 50s/60s. Either way I always have a soft spot for the founder member clubs plus the fact they were one of the few teams that always had scouts in the NE when I was a kid.

fair enough mate, i am of the same mentality i go to games with my dad who aint so young but thinks he is 21 at times :)

most of these little idiots are just hardmen in groups, get one on their own and give em a good bloody clip round the ear and they dont know what day it is

all clubs have em, i just didnt see any shit today at all i had a great day and experience, obviously we got the points which always helps but there was no trouble whatsoever and your fans were all pretty sound so that was my experience

maybe the young uns organised it on their tik tok or whatever they do these days lol

Not knocking the Burnley lads , they were game. But the Sunderland youth appeared to know "exactly" what they were up to. And more importantly they seemed a tight little mob.
As I said the Milky Bar kid just seemed to come from within the Burnley youth smacking them as he moved back towards his own Sunderland lads.

At first I thought he was charging Sunderland but he just folded back into the mob.

All this was literally 6 feet in front of me, and they knew exactly who they were going for. And more importantly who they werent going for.

I couldnt tell who was who until one group was saying Haway then ya daft C£&nts !
I saw all this and wondered what the hell was going on. At the time I thought it was Burnley infighting.

We walk past the coaches every game - and without fail there is away fans giving shite to our fans - families, oldies and bairns.

Police presence by the coaches non-existent today.
