Durham v Notts (a) C. C.

As we were short of openers in this game would it have not been more beneficial for Durham to play someone like McKinney, a natural opener for the 2nds and England U19s this year, than shoehorn Trev into a role he's never played
If we had presumably it'd be at the expense of Bushnell and there's have been hell in about that..Bushnell should've opened imo

I can confirm that there will be people missing next season 😉

:D Membership will be a very hard for the club. They have based it around community yet haven't released any sort of statement about the Strauss thing. Whilst I appreciate Durham are not member owned, they can't on one hand ask for our money based around "community" then stay silent on what is a very important issue.

Glad the season is now over. A lot of change needed at the club starting with the people at the top
And to top it off we have had a 10 point deduction

Wonder how much of that silence is to do with a hangover from the ECB 'bail out'

But aye, every membership lost is more ground lost to the hundred. People can't expect Durham to have any respect if they're fans of Durham but only when it's free on YouTube or bbc commentary.

Excuse my ignorance but can you explain what you mean here, am I missing something or have you?

What I mean to say is members vote with their feet and their wallet, but that only works one way. Attending games shows you support the county/domestic scene. Staying away isn't a message that shows opposition to ftecb, it just makes it easier for them to shred the county system.

Ah right gotcha, I pay my membership for the privilege of watching a product, if that product ends up being not to my liking I will then stop paying it, not in protest but because I don’t like what I’ll be getting for my money.
DCCC won’t give one jot whether I go next season or not, but I assume they’ll miss my membership contribution.

it's your money to spend as you see fit, naturally.

bit sad to say durham ccc won't care if you turn up or not, but sadly that's the modern way.

an awful lot of people will presumably be scrapping membership over the nex fw years because of the appalling way FTECB are shunting cricket which will make it much easier for them to destroy the counties they want rid of then franchise shite is all the professional cricket on offer.

All the more reason to attend games. Voting with your feet can work both ways!
