Durham v Notts (a) C. C.

I’m guessing we can refuse to bowl slower bowlers, and so gone off for bad light.

What happens if they now declare during the break? Just open with spinners?

I'd send Potts in to bowl  I'd imagine they will expect us to bowl spinners but it would be interesting if Durham just bowled fast. Utterly ridiculous to go off for bad light as I don't think they can make up lost overs on the last day either. Got to remember also we are 1 player down

Complete and utter waste of time this, sadly just adding strength to the Strauss proposal to reduce the number of 1st class games

As we were short of openers in this game would it have not been more beneficial for Durham to play someone like McKinney, a natural opener for the 2nds and England U19s this year, than shoehorn Trev into a role he's never played

Have you ever agreed with an umpires decision when they give a Durham player out? I've just watched replay and it looks like it clearly comes off the back of the bat?

Yep, loads. Look at the last match thread where I criticised the giving of two wickets in Durham’s favour too. Sussex the victims, were robbed. The standard of county umpiring has been shockingly bad these last few years.

You’ll have to borrow me your glasses if you think that ‘it clearly comes off the back of the bat’ because the only thing that was clear was that he was miles away from a ball that hit his thigh.
