Departures

Didn’t let him go like, well not what I was told at the ground anyway
Yeah he asked to leave didn’t he because of a certain coaches wasn’t it.

It is worrying that that put Dickson ahead of Bushnall when he’s leaving in 2 games. I totally get it if we were fighting for promotion then you’d play Dickson every time as he’s more experienced but we’re not and he’s not here next season yet Bushnall will be. These 2 games could’ve been vital experience for Bushnall come next season if we want to fight for promotion but for some reason the management just done seem to think like this? Do they just pick players on the basis of who earns the most? On whose closest to North/Killeen? Like I would love to see their thought process behind picking a player leaving than a kid whose done well in his games and could have a long future at the club. The worry is if he gets frustrated will he then look at moving on soon?

The management at Durham are out of their depth and need chasing as far away from the club as possible.

Come March we'll be saying "Give Bushnell game time so he can get used to first team cricket" - Why not just do it now, when the pressure is off as opposed to when expectations will be higher in March?

Makes no sense to me, but very little has this season and results back that up.

Yeah I don’t get it at all mate

What's your theory?

It isn’t my theory, but going off what was mentioned on commentary his family are based in and around Kent. He’s signing for Somerset, which whilst closer to Kent than Durham, is still a right bastard of a trip.

This is also not a dig at Sean Dickson by the way, as far as I can see he’s been the model professional for us, but I suspect the genuine reason is something to do with other factors in and around the club.

His fiancée family are based in Hampshire so this seems like a perfect move for them.

This forum is just full of people wanting to beat the club for no reason.

Plenty enough has gone wrong at Durham over the last 5-10 years without having to make up reasons

I didn’t get the idea from this forum and you should know I’ve been one of the staunchest defenders of the club and certain people within it for quite some time now.

Life goes on I guess losing Dickson. Wish him well for the future regardless what the reason is for leaving, he's always given his best at Durham.

It's vitally important we recruit well which is my main concern.

It's not just you.

In just the last few days people are speculating Dickson has lied about family reasons wanting to leave, Mackintosh has faked an injury because he's upset were signing Ollie Robinson, lees is off, bedingham is off, Bushnell has been dropped so we don't have to pay him and at least one other hair brained accusation I've forgotten.

It's an absolute mad house like.
