Latest boxing crack

Fights already over here, hoping GGG just lands one big shot on Canelo at this point. Suppose he’s getting one big final pay day if nothing else.

Poor showing from ggg here mind

Why is he not throwing? Does he not trust his chin anymore?

He’s literally in the territory where he has to knock canelo out already and he hasn’t thrown a shot

Father Time may well have caught up with him. Tbf he looked slow against murata

Mind it was obvious Golovkin was going to struggle in this fight, if anything Canelo should be annoyed with himself for not making a statement after the Bivol fight and knocking out Golovkin, was like watching a training session.

At the end of all that, Canelo couldn’t put a 40 year old down who was right in front of him for 12 rounds. He will also know that GGG won at at least 1 of the first 2 fights. Possibly both.

Golovkin was too slow, didnt start going till round 7 and even then I gave Canelo 3 of the final 5 rounds
An injured Canelo easily beats an over the hill Golovkin.
Was hoping for an Ali Frazier 3 style fight but the outcome was set very early on (despite what the judges thought) and became a bit of a procession.
Surprised Golovkin didnt go for broke but get the impression he was worried about Canelos power after the first few rounds of punches he took from him.

Old father time caught up with GGG last night, unbelievably good fighter but as already said he looked slow and unsure of himself there, decent trilogy but even Canelo is now showing signs of his 20 years in the ring

Injury or not i’m not sure if he can do Bivol

Disappointing from both fighters IMO. Golovkin looked a shell of the fighter he was in their first 2 fights but I think Canelo looks like a fighter in decline as well, albeit I still don't see anyone at middle or super-middle capable of beating him yet.

Couldn’t put a 40 year old down? GGG is an absolute machine, doesn’t matter if he’s 22 or 45, no one at an even weight is knocking him out.

If anything this fight has shown how Canelo has progressed and strengthened his base after fighting at a higher weight and was therefore able to push GGG back and not let him get going. Obviously GGG has slowed down, also.
but I think Canelo looks like a fighter in decline as well

I’m not convinced by this. His game is ever improving imo.

Think Bivol's just a horrendous stylistic match-up for Canelo.

Just watched it, notes as I watched without reading the thread first:

How many names/intros did Canelo need?

Good first found for Canelo, isn't hanging around. Lot of left hands landing

Canelo happy to move forwards, G not at all. And he isn't throwing anything to the body.

4th GGG looks lost, no idea what to do
5th Canelo not worried about Gs power anymore
8th G Finally comes forward and throws, and it works!
9th He has no idea how to fight on the inside!
Canelo tiring? Must be all those body shots he hasn't taken

11th Closes him down, pushes him back to the ropes, then throws absolutely nothing?

Looks like about 116-112 to me, maybe even wider
Don't want to see this one again.

Full fight, fixed camera if anyone wants to see

Agreed, talking about maybe taking upto a year to sort his left wrist, he'd be 33, dont see him winning another belt at light heavy but even then i cant see who bests him at 168 in the short term.
