Leicestershire v Durham

This Extras lad looks a handy player for Leics - 30 in the first innings and already on 21 in 10 overs in the second.

First innings a lot of the byes were due to poor/wayward bowling, however in this innings there has been A LOT of late movement. I’m sure MackIntosh would like some of them back, but it looks like difficult conditions to keep in to be fair to him.
Pick the best team available @GordonMuchallNo1Fan

Would Dickson get in that?
-
WICKETS!!

Potts gets Azad caught Maddinson at short leg - who wasn’t happy and showed dissent. Have to look at the coach and the culture he’s brought given they’ve already had points deducted for that this season.

Then Raine gets Patel to chase a wide one and Borthwick takes a good catch high to his left at second slip.

41-3 (trail by 53).

Lees and Jones to open for me like.

Potts now has 9 wickets in the match.

66-4, trail by 28. Would like atleast one more wicket before they erase the deficit.

Would make a canny strong line up in theory.

Lees, Jones, Dickson, borthwick, bedingham, trevaskis, mackintosh, coughlin, Raine, potts, Gibson

We could even go into next season on a winning streak 🤯

Absolutely disgraceful decision there. Kimber attempts a reverse sweep off Drissell, it hits him bang infront, the ball ends up in the hands of Maddinson at short leg. If he didn’t hit it, it’s hitting all three. If he did, he’s out caught.

That’s now four lbw decisions that I’ve counted that looked absolutely stone dead but the umpires have turned us down.

A lot of the umpiring this season has been on a par with that of the League One football officials ie utter rubbish.

Here we are again in the critical position where we can win a game with some ruthless bowling. This happened a lot early in the season and we couldnt knock over a team second innings.
Hopefully Potts can get support here and the rest can chip in with some key wickets to get us a small total to knock off.

Watching the development of Potts this year, first for Durham and then for England has been an absolute joy, and a good example of why I love Durham and first class cricket, Washy to Lords in very very little time.

Nothing better than watching a local talent improve before your own eyes
And there he goes with a tenth wicket

In fairness, I can’t find any fault with the bowlers at all so far. Lots of plays and misses, edges falling short or going just wide of fielders - we’re still in a great position here at Tea. Leicestershire are (in effect) 35-5.
