Champ Man Wonderkids Of Old

Danny Murphy when he was a kid at Crewe was amazing.

from - Football Manager boss reveals his top two wonderkids from the new game

Who compiles the stats for the teams?

When we first started doing proper research it was 20 years ago and we went to a bunch of fanzine writers - because this was before the Internet was popular - and got them to give their unbiased views on the clubs.

We asked them because they were the only outlet that wasn't coming from the clubs' press officers or local press.

The first game that we did was in 1994 and we had a couple of kids in Crewe's reserves Danny Murphy and Neil Lennon who ended up becoming pretty good.

That gave us the buzz and made us want to get it all right so we started building a global network and as of now we have over 1,300 scouts around the world in 51 countries and regions.

They are going out and watching players at first team, reserve and youth team level week in week out.

They are predominately football fans but we do have some people who work at clubs but it's primarily fans.

What was that players name who could play anywhere, Swedish I think. He eventually ended up in the premier league in real life at some point?
Nikolas Alexandersson.

I love football manager but as an adult I simply don’t have time to play it in the format it’s in. Scouting, training, youth teams etc.

Champ man was so simple.
It's ridiculous nowadays, have played it for a long time but since it became Football Manager it's evolved so much, I remember selling a Turkish player for real Madrid then all his mates went against me and the board then turned. The bairn plays fm 22 and he just Sims all the games, pointless. Nowt better than watching a load of words 🤣

The best part of the game was transfers - got a bit boring once the football started.

When I had Ajax I bought a player called Kare Becker, he was brilliant, European player of the year for me. (CM 97/98)

I guess this is him - Kare Becker - Player profile

Also bought Denilson as my no.10 and he was class.
