Football Insider say it's Mowbray.

Hold on then biggie.

Gallagher scored 1 less goal last season for Blackburn than broadhead did for us. Yet Mowbray only finished 8th because of Diaz but that doesn't apply to Neil and Stewart?

Then you said we were lucky, yet Neil is a great manager and Mowbray only finished 8th because of Diaz again?

You haven't got a clue man. Tying yourself up in knots.
@biggie :lol:

short-termism may well be the intent...i would expect another 12 month rolling see the season out and re assess

Makes a massive amount of sense given ANs timing
As I say, I'm more than happy til the end of the season. However, I reckon we would end up a mid table side under him which would lead to the likes of Stewart being away.
I know I'm looking far too far ahead so, of its a contract til the end of the season then look to really have a go, absolutely fair enough.

The amount of disrespect to a dignified experienced manager who has been doing a good job in Championship for years on here is poor.
I think a few people are taking it way too far and because I think he will be a steady pair of hands, especially for our first season in the league. I just don't see us really pushing on under him. It'll probably slightly regress from what we've been seeing over the last 6 months in my opinion.

Why end of the season....this season is only a handful of games in!

I'm not totally against this btw. We are a recently promoted side who, despite our decent start, could be a bit on edge due to unforseen circumstances. Mowbray will consolidate us this season, absolutely no doubt about that.

The thing I dont understand though is that our setup with Speakman etc and the noise about changing the culture to a more data driven approach and clear footballing culture, does point to a younger coach brought up on these philosophies being given a chance. Maybe Mowbray's relationship with Harvey will lead to them discussing Mowbray eventually taking on a different role once we've been consolidated in the league. Might even get some sort of indication about that in the announcement.

Reactions: PS
Anyone over 50 is deemed certified ancient on here, it's like oh dear not him FFS he's kicking on a bit, he must be at least 56 and he'll forget his clothes.

Safe pair of hands has to be one of the worst phrases in football. In the modern game; you're either going forward or falling behind, and standing still is falling behind. I hope to be wrong, but I don't see a scenario where he doesn't need replacing by May, if not sooner.

It was a clear snipe mate, let's be honest. Also, that is a huge generalisation, I for one don't regard us as that at all. Look at the poll. The clear prefeered candidate is a bloke currently managing in League One.
Thing is though, it's NOT a generalisation.
It's there to see on this thread alone , as well as the others.
It's so ironic , people on here never stop going on about Newcastle fans being deluded (big clerb etc), yet it's exactly the same on here.
When the rumours about AN first appeared, the general consensus was that there was no chance that he would leave you for Stoke.

Quite funny really - whenever supporters of other clubs mention the arrogance and attitude of your support, there's no acceptance that perhaps these people could actually have a point.

What makes Sunderland so much better than Hibs, Celtic, West Brom, Boro, Coventry and Blackburn?
