Football Insider say it's Mowbray.

Well without promotion the money situation won’t improve. We’ll not continue to get 37-38k for mid table football so that’ll be one revenue stream diminished. The only way we’ll make money is by selling Stewart and that won’t be positively transformative.
We sold 34000 season tickets I understand so that figure won’t drop drastically

as previously stated finished 8th was down to diaz, they only 5 of last 20 games, in that period Diaz didnt play in 10
Just counting up….
He has 46 points with Blackburn by New Year. They were absolutely flying.
At SAFC, Mowbray will inherit Stewart and Simms.
I rate Diaz. He’s quality but I wouldn’t swap him for Stewart.
What’s to say if Mowbray has an SAFC team with Stewart, Simms with hopefully someone else to bring in then we’ll do just as well as he did pre-Christmas?

For all those wanting and trying to convince themselves that Mowbray is God and plays attacking football then please see the review left by a Blackburn fan last night...I'm sure someone can dig it out.
It will he is a shocking appointment and if true shows Speakman is a complete liar as he says the last time we needed a manager identified a lot of talent.....Mowbray?
Can't wait to have the proverbial took out of me some more by the mags!!

Or you could flip it and say he's the only manager to get a tune out of Danny Graham in the last decade.

I'm no Mowbray fan but there's so much shite posted about him it's bizarre.

He isn't the only manager though. Graham scored for fun at Watford then was good for Swansea.

and the one difference to that appointment is that there was a long term plan. Neil made it boring and relied more on experienced pros to get us up and grind out results. He was never going to play like that this season because there was a long term plan. There's a reason Dan Neil has started every game he's been available for and came straight back into the team after a red card despite being sat on the bench permanently under AN last year. The exact same thing happened with Lee Johnson. Embleton out on loan, Neil playing pizza games, Stewart sat on the bench and Max Power, Scowen and Leadbitter in midfield with Wyke up front with a long term plan of playing attacking football the season after and using Neil, Embleton, Stewart etc as your main players.

What's the long term plan with this appointment?
And look how that long term plan worked out.
You make some good points so not getting into a slagging back and forth. But I’m sure the long term plan involves a few years in this league. TM can go a long way to providing that. Manager’s just don’t stay for more than 3 years anymore. Doesn’t happen. He stabilises for a couple of years and we’re a more attractive proposition then, as an established Championship outfit, ironically like Stoke.

As always when a new manager comes in, I'll always be willing to give him as much goodwill and time as I would anyone else who takes over the reigns. However the appointment does seem slightly underwhelming and I think we could have aimed for better.

I genuinely hope I'm wrong and he gets us fighting up the top end of the league this season and next though, but I highly doubt we will be in with a shout of the playoffs with 5 games to go with him in charge.

Mowbray has his teams play passing football. He's not the worst choice in the world and absolutely preferable over dyche for the players we have. Id absolutely be willing to give him a chance and I think he will get us mid table. Its a shame cos a motivated Neil I think would have had us close to promotion
Be funny if it is him and we win Wed -be a sea change to optimism .
However it’s safc so …..

Does this Blackburn fan speak for all Blackburn fans?

None of our recent managers have won fuck all to be fair so let’s get behind him and see where it takes us.

It’s not like we’ve lost a Pep or a Klopp and gained a Parky is it?
