Football Insider say it's Mowbray.

To be honest that would suit the club down to the ground.

We’ve obviously not got the ambition / money to go for promotion in the near future so consolidation is the height of the ambition.

Once you accept that Mowbray is a reasonably safe appointment

Well without promotion the money situation won’t improve. We’ll not continue to get 37-38k for mid table football so that’ll be one revenue stream diminished. The only way we’ll make money is by selling Stewart and that won’t be positively transformative.

Great news for the club. Will undoubtedly be on less money than Neil which ultimately is what it's all about.

A scarily unimaginative appointment. I just hope we make 4-5 decent additions between now and the end of tbe deadline as him in charge of this squad would concern me greatly.

Solid appointment. Comes across as a genuine bloke whenever I listen to him. Teams play good football, develops young players. Could have done loads worse. Worked a bit of a miracle at Blackburn generating cash out of relatively nothing with Adam Armstrong and got Brereton-Diaz firing.

Lot of games coming up - rather someone in to take charge of game day asap. To be honest I have no idea about how his teams play.

I think he gets a bad press as he’s seen as dour and about as handsome as @The Jarra Wanderer

Mowbray has his teams play passing football. He's not the worst choice in the world and absolutely preferable over dyche for the players we have. Id absolutely be willing to give him a chance and I think he will get us mid table. Its a shame cos a motivated Neil I think would have had us close to promotion

Just hope he's not too boring that our quality players like Pritch and LND think f**k this, I'm away....
If they think that they were probs off anyway -been talk of LND signing a contract for months while Neil was here and he hasn’t

I'd be happy with him tim the end of the season, certainly as he's steady-away.
I was just hoping for a younger, more progressive manager who could grow with the players.
I've absolutely no doubt he'll have us well away from trouble and I'll be over the moon with that, I just can't see anything beyond that and it smacks of short-termism.
short-termism may well be the intent...i would expect another 12 month rolling see the season out and re assess

Makes a massive amount of sense given ANs timing

Talk of no ambition and going nowhere?
I'll be happy as long as going nowhere keeps us in the Championship this season. Consolidate has to be the main objective at present.
