they wont...for some nothing he does will be good enough....for a start theyd have to admit they were wrong.....how many people do you hear doing that these daysGot Blackburn 8 th last season people would cream themselves if he does that for us this
ExactlyThere was the same reaction when Neil was appointed
If it is big Tony let’s give him a chance
Yeah, but it’s a punt isn’t it, he is totally unproven. It’s a bit like injured players getting better the longer they don’t play. Its a dull appointment by the club .
I can see the logic to it in the short term but he would be here 15 years and not get us promoted. Someone like Manning on the other hand could he a risk but it is unknown how far he would be able to take the club
Neil has never finished there for about 8 years either since at Norwich.Exactly. He is a steady-away appointment which is the season we need this time around but, aside from finishing omin the top 6 twice over 15 years ago, he has never managed it since.
If being a lower- mid table club for the next few seasons is our ambition, he's perfect.
I don’t think we can expect someone to build for 5 years. If the club moves forward and makes the right sort of appointment, we won’t keep a head coach in the same way as we wouldn’t keep a high performing player. Add in the very particular challenge we have short term of dealing with the end of the window - and the most important aspect above all, of staying up this season - it’s fair to think of this as a very specific situation. If this was next summer - or even any summer window tbf - I’d agree that it’s short termist. Right now it’s a fairly safe bet to help us through a particular challenge.
It's someone that we're going to want to replace within the next two years. Don't like that type of appointment.
It was a clear snipe mate, let's be honest. Also, that is a huge generalisation, I for one don't regard us as that at all. Look at the poll. The clear prefeered candidate is a bloke currently managing in League One.No.
No sniping whatsoever.
You lot are that much into this massive club nonsense that you actually believe you should have the pick of managers for your club.
You've just scraped promotion from the third division , yet the bulk of you seem to think that a manager with a decent record and plenty experience is just not good enough, also resorting to personal insults and accusations about him.
Just who would be deemed suitable?
Not Bruce, Parkinson, Dicannio, Johnson obviously
Aye I made it up, they were all buzzing he left. I would trust the word over season ticket holders over Blackburn than flannels on here crying because we haven’t appointed a coach from mk dons or a lad from Chelsea who’s never managed before just because it’s deemed more exciting.Hahhahahaa they were not disappointed.

Who signed Diaz like?and does thay mean Neil only got promoted because of stewart?
But, he was appointed in League One. There's likely a reason Stoke didn't approach Mowbray.Neil has never finished there for about 8 years either since at Norwich.
There you goHarvey probably. Will certainly have recommended him at least. He was head of player analysis at the time. They signed Danny Graham at the same time and Mowbray was playing him ahead of Diaz.
