Tony Mowbray Rumour

Why not, Neil was young and he's the only manager they've appointed so far
Personally think your reading a bit to much into the philosophy.

The head coach will be whoever they see fitting the structure, regardless of age
For it’s the age of him that’ll mean he won’t get the job. 58 year old seems to fly in the face of what the club is about.
So we wouldn't take Klopp then?

And before you start, I'm only using him as an example as he's the wrong side of 50 as well

It'll not be Mowbary.

The club's philosophy is buy young, sell for profit.

This will also refer to a manager. You get a young manager coming in on a long contract, he does well and gets poached, we pocket the cash and move on.

Mowbary has no sell on value
Clearly.....that's why we previously hired AN on a 12 month rolling contract 🤣

We’ve had people on here mentioning the likes of Farke who is flying in the Bundesliga or Nuno earning top dollar in Saudi Arabia, ffs. Out of touch with modern football/ reality
To be fair I had no idea Farke was even in a job. I must admit my knowledge of the football world has took a battering since we dropped into league one, just couldn’t stomach looking up the leagues I think

I am not sure Neil was such a catch. He had been sacked from Preston after several mid season finishes. I was quite shocked that Stoke took him based off 6 good months here.

The flip side of all this is that many or most of the coaches we would want will currently be in jobs and we won't pay the required compen. Mowbray obviously wouldn't be anyone's long term appointment but he'd be a decent fix until a better opportunity arises for the club.
The likes of the Manning though will be on pennies I'd imagine, so will cost next to nothing to poach. I also bet he'll want less wage than Mowbary.

Maybe, not sure Manning fits that well with how we want to play. More of a Poyet / Jack Ross type I thought. Mowbray takes over and its seamless in terms of high press etc
Was he? It seems common knowledge that he signed an improved contract recently. Who says it was still a rolling contract?

My mistake if it wasn't, not sure. Assumed it would be as he knew he was going to Stoke anyway.

Considering the money received for having a manager poached pales into insignificance compared to what changes hands for players, the club would be better off focusing on the latter.

That's why it likely will be Mowbray as he's got a track record for doing that.

Manning's sides are very aggressive with their press mind...
