Tony Mowbray Rumour

They finished 8th last year Blackburn, after finishing 11th, 15th, 11th in the three years before. Now most fans would take any of those positions right now
Aye but we're the mighty Sunderland, haven't won anything of note since 1973 but we're f***ing huge and should walk the league. Or something.
Why are people acting like appointing him is the worst thing we can do ffs
Buffoons?

Has what team playing attractive football ?
He's unemployed mate , his football was that attractive , Blackburn didn't renew his contract.
Resigned from Coventry ( rather than be sacked )
Sacked from : Boro , WBA and Celtic ( after 9 months )

All about opinions - mine is that his teams play decent football (as opposed to so called hoofball).
Yes, resigned from Coventry.
Didn't think he was sacked by West Brom (could be wrong).

So, if Tony Mowbray isn't deemed good enough for the all conquering Sunderland - who exactly would fit the bill in your opinion?

We’ve had people on here mentioning the likes of Farke who is flying in the Bundesliga or Nuno earning top dollar in Saudi Arabia, ffs. Out of touch with modern football/ reality

Feel like anybody we could get right now would be a downgrade on Neil.
Whilst I believe Mowbray would keep us up, I dont feel like he would be able to kick us on to the next level that say a young up and coming manager could potentially do.

Exactly
What’s the evidence of Neil ever kicking on with a club? Sacked by Norwich. Sacked by Preston.

He’s a young manager learning his trade (even tho he looks 50!) who seemed to have learned from previous mistakes and he was doing a fantastic job here, let’s not try and pretend otherwise.

I do genuinely believe him moving to Stoke is a terrible career move and he’ll ultimately regret it.

If Wilder was to leave tomorrow (don't want him to), then yes I would like TM as Boro's manager again - hopefully with more resources than he had last time.

More to the point - what's the reasoning for the mass dislike of him managing sunderland?
And, what's with all the personal insults directed at him?
I was talking to my son about this this afternoon and he seems to think that he was slated by Boro fans at the end of his tenure.
I know nowt about this, do you ?

Which then makes it a wasted season of development imo

He got us out of League One, which has been a minimum requirement for four years. Fair play, he did it well. We’re five games into this season and were only 20 or so into his reign, the honeymoon never ended. We’ll never know what might have happened, but he’s not an amazing manager. He’s a mid-table championship manager. He was doing a good job, I was happy with him, but I’m not going to mourn this as some sliding doors moment where the club would have gone on to the PL
