Tony Mowbray Rumour

If you’re not open to backing Mowbray initially, then you might as well stay away from the stadium on a match day imo.
Couple of my mates already said they not going on Wednesday. We sit in BCB so they be losing fair bit of money by not attending. I take my 13 year old so got no choice but to go but don’t blame anyone for not going.Proper uninspiring, shite appointment.

On the other hand, he is doing a shite job at Hibs, they've won 1 game in 5, they've been knocked out of the League Cup because they lost matches against second and third tier teams, his assistant is fighting with his subs on the touchline, and St Mirren fans are taking the piss after beating him today.

Tongue was firmly in cheek - I'd back Mowbray if he's appointed. But yeah LJ's heckle response was a disaster there

Has he been appointed? If he hasn't and it's just a rumour what the absolute meltdown? We need someone on charge quickly as we are in a good position on the league.

If they stay away that’s fine. It’s the ones that if they turn up and immediately start shouting for Mowbray to be sacked (if he’s in the dugout) that need to have a look at themselves.

Don't you think the team deserve our support? They've been fantastic. I will back this team whoever is the next manager

Feel like probably a year too early to try tempt Hendo with a player manager job. Couldn’t pay him nowt near what he gets now, that’s a tough team to stay in, he doesn’t need the money, stick him in charge of everything. Expecting pelters.

Never thought of this but somewhere down the line this would be great. He has the makings of a good manager for sure and something tells me this is one job he'd love.

Blackburn were relegated in the season he joined when they were on a downward spiral. He got them promoted at the first time of asking (took Sunderland 4 years) and kept them up the following season. Last season he finished 8th. Realistically who are you hoping we get?

North East is local when managers are flying in from all over the world.
Someone younger for a f***ing start.
Lots said the same negative crap about Neil when he came
Not I

Tell them to fuck off and watch stoke then, Fanny’s

When I first heard the rumour (and it would now appear to be fact I understand), I thought not Tony bloody Mowbray. The more I have looked at it the more I am warming to the idea.
Don't get me wrong as a manager he is not earth shattering, but we can get him in quick, He will likely sign a contract to the season end and he has a good track record of developing young players by all accounts. We could do worse, but he would not be my first choice. WE do not need to be rudderless for 3 or so weeks to follow a selection process.
