Blackburn were relegated in the season he joined when they were on a downward spiral. He got them promoted at the first time of asking (took Sunderland 4 years) and kept them up the following season. Last season he finished 8th. Realistically who are you hoping we get?

We've got a decent squad that know what they are doing, bloke will likely be on a rolling contract and we need someone in straight off the bat. Then look at it again come the end of the season, we can't be messing about for weeks like last time. As long as he doesn't piss about with the formation I think at this stage we could do a lot worse.

On the other hand, he is doing a shite job at Hibs, they've won 1 game in 5, they've been knocked out of the League Cup because they lost matches against second and third tier teams, his assistant is fighting with his subs on the touchline, and St Mirren fans are taking the piss after beating him today.
