Tony Mowbray Rumour

The ambition, or lack thereof, shown with this appointment is a damning indictment of the ownership and decision makers at SAFC.
Same goes for the fans that are trying to justify it.
Happy to just stay up and make up the numbers. Small time mentality and frankly pathetic. The mags get slated for being delusional but at least they set high expectations and don’t settle for below par mediocrity.

Loads on here said exactly the same when Neil was appointed.

How does he fit? He's been promoted once in about 25 years and had all the resources in the world at Celtic & got nowhere near Rangers...
Same could have been said for Neil before he came in, not been promoted in 10 years and hardly ripped up trees at Preston.

Other side of the coin is being realistic and we are miles away from being ready for the premier league

So being happy top consolidate this season and push on next is pathetic?

Shite there too
Wrong .
Very good player -hard as nails and in the Boro top 10 players of all time at number 7
For a Centre half that’s pretty impressive
To label him a crap player as well is incorrect -he got the best out of himself.

My initial reaction yesterday was dull pigeon fancier, nee thanks. But that was wrong and was still due rage over Neal. He'd make a perfectly sensible appointment.
This for me. Not exciting but has a decent record of mid table Championship finishes and has even had teams close to the play offs.

He’s not a long term solution but he’s a safe pair of hands.
