21st May 2022. One of the best days I've ever had. Probably one of the best supports and atmospheres the new Wembley has seen.

44k there for the Semi v Sheff Wed for another memorable night for all of us.

Didn't mean a thing to Neil though. Doesn't mean anything to the players or the directors either if truth be told. They'd all be off as soon as something else comes up.

Us fans are just pawns in a bigger game. We give, they take. We care about them, they couldn't care less about us.

I'm totally sickened by this. When Neil was appointed I said on here he would take us up when opinion on him was pretty split. He's an excellent manager and I thought he'd be here for the long haul. Instead he's jumping ship at the first opportunity, and for Stoke. One of the most pointless and boring clubs, in one of the most pointless and boring areas of the country.

To rub salt in the wounds it comes on the day them up the road pull out £60m for a new striker. It's like there's someone up there just permanently tormenting us. Honestly I'm 54 years old and I'm getting pig sick of it all. As soon as something good seems to be happening there's another kick in the bollocks to come along straight away.
Summed up perfectly mate.

because it's our club.
Will always be our club.
Managers and players and owners come and go.

Neil can fuck off.
And anyone else who wants out can fuck off as well.

I'm 54. Been going nearly 50 years. This just feels like one kick in the teeth too mamy right now.
I know the feeling mate, but it's a fact of football, innit? To us, it's family, memories, emotions, identity, to the players and manager it's another day at graft.

Always has been.

Neil has undoubtedly done a great job, and it feels especially crap because you have to go way back to Big Sam to find the last successful manager.

I think we'll be fine though. We've got a top squad full of young hunry players, and for the first time in years a feeling of direction from the board.

You've got to wonder. Could Neil have over stepped the mark with KLD in wanting additional players? There has to be more to this than money surely. A move to a bigger club with a greater fanbase and a better opportunity for success I could understand but Stoke?
I've also just heard that AN didn't actually want Jewison Bennette either but he was signed regardless.

It might not be about the money although it probably plays a huge part in it.
IF behind the scenes AN doesn't get on with Speakman or the board then why wouldn't he fcuk off elsewhere.
Most of us would do the same if we were so unhappy at work.
And as I've just heard [re Bennette] possibly things bave been taken out of his hands which would seriously tell someone to get out.
The Speakman role comes into it again if true

Pretty much echo's my thoughts that. It gets boring after a while the constant let downs.

If the club can’t keep a manager from going to Stoke city after he’s JUST beaten them in a shitty half empty ground then we really might as well f***ing fold

Mate I am a loyal Swindon Supporter.
Not a weeks goes by when I don’t ask myself the same question.

Now you get that chin up off the floor, stick that chest out and say these simple words.
Sunderland til i die.
They hurt you, they take away the best players, the Managers but when you are standing with those like minded fans, then fuck the World, other clubs, the lot.

Its what we do, in the heart and soul.
Stay strong Mate.
