If he’s at the AOL it suggests Speakman is discussing a new deal really.

Its dreadful how this has played out in the media.

If Neil wants the Stoke job he would be off like a shot though, so dont really get him hanging around the club if hes still there.
I think there's too much bad feeling now, so soon as well. A bad result if he stayed it would be over for him

Good on him. The pricks slating him are not aware about two lies the board made to him. And it’s not “pennies” as one cry baby suggested there. AN tentatively asked about a contractual promise that never transpired on Wednesday. They undervalued AN. Good luck to him. Now watch us tumble down the f***ing division.

How come your itk status is only piping up now?
Forgive me if I don’t suck on your nipples for info

You don't need to look far mate, the state of the Sol, the club shop/ticket office sargas ..... its a shambles of the park.

Yes, we are sticking to a recruitment model that involves youth and low fees. I like it but we need a few older heads in imo but that costs money - which evidently we have not got.

And now this carry on...... all boils down to money
The experience thing can be filled with the management team. It doesn’t necessarily need it in the squad. There’s some strong minded young lads who can lead on the field.
Wasn’t Catts captain at like 19?

He didn’t actually. He did wonders outside of a transfer window. Run-of-the-day management the same in any “system”.

The first time he’s had to “work” within this system, in a transfer window, this.
Stoke have officially offered him FIVE times more. They value him higher than our board. Good luck to him and his young family ❤️

What is?
Him being interested?

One question to aks yourself, why would the club release a statement saying they have had to let our current manager talk to another club and are committed to getting him to stay?

Becasue they know if he wasn't interested, he would not be having talks.

You think just because it’s Sunderland we can spend millions on players because a manager wants them??? How the hell do you think we ended up in League 1!! What has been the problem with our recruitment as we are now one shitty result from first place??? Should we be competing with Man City for players??? Wtf!!

What the shiting hell are you withering on about?

We’ve a limited budget. Neil wanted players for the here and now (which we need). We’ve spent some of the budget on a young lad who will unlikely feature and clearly wasn’t what he wanted or needed. How that translates into ‘we should be spending millions and competing with Man City’ in your head is anyones guess.

I’d sack Neil for speaking to Stoke and move on. Those two positions aren’t mutually exclusive

whether he’s in a car on the way down or what, he’s in talks with Stoke.

It’s time for him to go. I’d sack him. If he then doesn’t get the Stoke gig he’d look silly. Regardless of whether I think he is right or wrong about recruitment you can’t do what he’s doing and keep your job in football

Wouldn’t sack him but take the compo, however he’s done here.
