I can't verify how genuine this is, but coming from a lad who is pally with O'nein, so better than just some bloke in the pub, but they reckon Alex Neil been offered basically double by Stoke. Not shithousing or owt just what ive been told, could equally be shite.
Now how in the fuck would a player have any idea of a proposed contract offer to their manager?

BTW from my comment, I didnt say O'nein was the one who told him, this guy just knows O'nien and has had tickets sorted off him in the past etc. Just a source which may or may not have a little bit more backing than usual, purely because of who he knows. Like I said, could be absolute dross.

Imagine he goes to Stoke man

Dreyfus should be offering him a contract this morning on parity with the top managers in the championship.

Something massively wrong at the top if he genuinely leaves, it's not a good move at all and questions need to be asked of KLD why he's felt the need to go with it anyway if he does.
What if he pulls a bogus leave on us?

Still questions I say.

So you don't think most managers speak to players before them signing then? They just meet them when they rock up to training?

I'm not getting superior about anything, I'm being realistic. There's nothing in the press of any substance that suggests that AN is unhappy, Stoke want AN, or there's a bad reason AN is late for his press conference. If anything you are the one speculating wildly and my 'assumptions' are based on a very reputable source claiming 2 deals are close for which, under normal circumstances, a manager is usually required.

I don’t think Alex Neil would have to speak to the players immediately before their transfers were tied up no. You’re speculating on that whilst being quite accusatory of people speculating on something else.

Your assumptions RE his absence are to complete signings are based on an ITK and your guess of a managers role in that process . Mine are based on a journalists article, my own interpretation of Neil’s recent comments about transfers (which I accept I may be interpreting wrong) and his scheduled press conference being postponed.

I hope you’re right and I’m wrong and everything is hunky dory but you’re speculating as much as I am

There is reason to worry a bit mind. Forum always way too quick to call people raging fannies.

Also let’s take our Safc tinted glasses off for a minute and look at the facts…

Stoke have very rich owners who pay there managers a lot of money.
Stoke have no DOF and let there manager have the final say.
Rumours Neils family still live in Cheshire, which is closer than we are.
We probably aren’t paying him a massive amount currently.

Hopefully it’s all bullshit and he’s meeting potential new signings, but we seriously don’t know. A presser was organised for 9am, they’ve left the room full and decided to cancel it 45 mins later and asked people to come back at 2pm. This isn’t normal, so there’s a distinct possibility there’s truth in that Stoke are going all out for him.

Whether you like it or not, don’t burry your head in the sand and call people fannies. This is a tad concerning.
Sort your their and there out marra and then I will have a gander.

Tbf if the club don’t want to show ambition and back him then you can’t blame him

Absolute shambles
Hunter article about Alex Neil needing new contract.
Top of betting for vacant Stoke job
Presser delayed
Presser opens later with announcement of new contract

i reckon thats how this will play out.
I reckon you’re clutching at straws
