Latest boxing crack

Joshua could fight a lot tbf. If fury doesn’t fight Usyk, Usyk may retire leaving the door open for him to another title challenge. In the meantime, the winner of Joyce v Parker or Wilder v Helenius. Cracks me up how folk see a man lose a couple of fights and suddenly retire him

It looks sent about losing fights it’s the manner of the losses.
Joshua looked stripped of any confidence on Saturday. He looked a spent force.
I’m his rant he was right. He is 18 stone boxer and should should a lighter fighter easily.
Usyk despite his superb ability wouldn’t bully many of the top ten heavyweights like he did Joshua.
We were expecting Joshua to come and dominate and he came out with a very stiff robotic and defensive jab. Terrible preparation.
People are suggesting retirement but really, who can he beat? Joyce? Whyte, Wilder, fury?
Dubois? Would you fancy him against any of these? If not then you have him as a journeyman and he hasn’t the heart or natural fighting ability for this therefore he should retire if this is the case other wise his so called legacy will be one of abject failure despite being twice champion.

A few days removed from the fight i still cant quite understand how Joshua is getting praise from some quarters for a massively improved performance !

He tried to do the same as he did in the first fight which didnt work, in rounds 5-8 in the first fight he landed some decent counters and punched with Usyk and had some success

In the second fight rounds 8-9 he pressured Usyk after landing shots to the body then the head which many had said he’d need to do !

The video makes it plain to see how laboured Joshua’a action was ( and got worse through the fight ) and how Usyk had the skills to make him seem easy to time and slip his shots !

Joshua ranted about skills Usyk has more skills than anyone in the division

I think the improved performance came as he didn’t run out of steam from round 8 as he usually does.
If you watch the fight again, I agree with you. His style was awful. Very laboured slow and almost Joyce stiffness.

Ps. With the weight advantage you’d expect him to survive 12 rounds easily.
Fury would exhaust him and therefore there isn’t any improvement especially to his style.

I wouldn't say it was massively improved, but it was better in a few parts of the fight. Not enough urgency or commitment. Still visibly hates getting hit and its not even power that scares him, he just doesn't like getting hit. Could see this even in the Parker fight for example where he largely dominated, he was still terrified of getting hit by a non puncher who he was dominating

It's a confirmed 50/50 purse split. And who's going to afford a 5-belt title fight if you include The Ring belt .. And it's the first total unification fight since Ali v Frazier .. Only 1 nation can afford that unfortunately.

Easy fight to make.

Fury v usyk - fury wins

Aj v whyte - hopefully aj wins ffs

Fury v aj in summer 2023 at Wembley for all British undisputed defence. Gerrin.
People say a lot of things

This bonkers thread last 3 days certainly confirms that.

It’s not. Fury and chisora still in talks. Fact. Diven shoot the messenger.

Bloody hell marra. Tad harsh that like.

Granted I agree. He should have came out swinging, well hyper aggressive to stand a chance. But thought he looked decently confident.
Btw. Joyce and wilder will hurt him bad imho but brilliantly entertaining fights to make. Never know .
He fucks up whyte.
I make him firm favourite v Dubois however I’d have a lump of cash in Dubois at the predicted value bet. 😎

I'm looking forward to Joyce v Parker. Joyce saying he just views it as a warm up fight. Good step up for Joyce.

Its a great fight for Joyce. Parker is a name, and quite decent too. Hard fight, but a great step up.
He'll be in line for a mandatory if he wins, I assume?

When is it?

Do you think Fury and Usyk will have a rematch clause?

24th September

Believe winner is mandatory

Whatever happened to that criminal ring Parker was alleged to be helping out, was he cleared of it? Totally forgot about it until now

I've got tickets for Joyce v Parker in Manchester... My first ever Professional event it will be... Bought the front row on the top tier to treat myself a bit being first time and all that

Serrano on as co-main event which is decent for a Frank Warren card
Who is Serrano fighting? I think the main event could be a cracker. Enjoy.

I have no idea. It wasn't my idea to go, the girl I'm seeing's idea :D Ofcourse I'm the one paying for the seats... And then they charge me £15 per ticket booking fee and we haven't included VAT yet. Me pants have been well and truly pulled down.
