Departures

Noticed something on Jack Campbell's fb page - the Durham one not the second one he's created since going to Hampshire.

On his info he has given a mortgage lender a good review for arranging his mortgage. This was in 2020.

So presumably he had bought a house up here. If true that doesn't sound like someone who would have wanted to leave the club.
Would love to hear what Bat Eleven has got to say to this. Probs say his close source told him that he used this house to camp in whilst he missed all these so called training sessions 🤣🤣

Top quality stalky behaviour there like

Well this has took a turn 🤣

I'm not that bothered about the situation to spend a lot of time discussing this, Campbell obviously has his supporters - that's fine. I have absolutely zero reason to think what I was told is incorrect. This is mainly why I just read the forum with the odd comment here and there though, there aren't too many members capable of debating without coming across as angry.

Just to clarify - I 100% don't work for Durham.

Areety rushy (BatEleven obvious clue)

Yup signed a pro deal not too long ago also.

Posters asking ‘what’s gone on?’ And then when fellow posters try to share information they’ve heard with other cricket lovers to try and shed light on a situation and get shot down and demand validation and naming of sources whilst simultaneously refusing to do so themselves… cracking read as always - good luck JC whatever happened, wherever he is.

As opposed to those who come across as arrogant

Interesting reading this

"“It has been helpful that there is such a good atmosphere in the squad"

"The main thing I’ve noticed since I joined Hampshire is how happy and positive the whole squad is"

“I got dropped for the final last year,” Campbell said. “It wasn’t the nicest feeling because I’d played the majority of the group stage games and the semi. It was hard to take and made me more determined than ever. I’d love to be a part of a final and hopefully get a win for Hampshire.”

I suspected that Campbell's much improved form was due to a change in action. When I saw him last year I was disappointed in his rather crouched slingy action which didn't utilise his great height. In that latest photo he's fully upright with bowling arm fully upright. Pop Walsh is a highly rated bowling coach and appears to have immediately maximised his potential. So what was Mr Killeen doing in Cambell's formative 3 years at Durham? SFA obviously.

North "We look forward in continuing to nurture Brydon's skills over the next few years and watching his career flourish for Durham and England."
Well, that suggests that "we",the Director and Lead coaches, aren't going anywhere soon.
That'll be a boost to membership renewal. Not.

It's just the usual that gets rolled out in these statements, I'd read nowt into it. He's hardly gonna say "wel he's signed up but we've been that bad these year I'm expecting the sack"

Not so sure"we look forward to nurturing his skills...." is usual. Confirms to me that the 3 stooges are going nowhere -like the club.

well he's going to assume he's in a job next year until told otherwise. i'd hope those discussions are ongoing, but it wasn't long ago people were saying how great marcus north came across whilst wanting franklin gone.

honestly, i'm not optimistic enough to think there'll be a big clear out, but i certainly wouldn't read those quotes and think they have an connection to whether there will be or not
