Probably because it’s virtually the only thing about the club people could have any pride in until AN came.

Do you think other clubs supporters wouldn’t mention it if they had similar support ?
 
I don’t know if it’s because news gets circulated about possible signings here incredibly early but other sides seem to be linked with players and then a day later the signing is confirmed.

We get news that a player is signing and it seems to drag on for days before it’s either rubbished or he signs.

Any glimmer of hope that an “imminent” signing might happen today….tomorrow….

100%. Low key and minimal fuss. That’s what I’d do if I was in charge of recruitment. I’d only let word get out if there was a good reason.
 
Always intrigued me the whole loan signing process.

You can guarantee on deadline day players will be first linked to clubs at about 8pm yet still get the deal done by close of play.

He’s a tosspot anyway, can still remember the time in here that he was claiming Bardsley was the teams weakest link, 10 years on and we still haven’t replaced the ‘weakest’ link.
