As a Sunderland fan like myself , obviously I am don't care what anyone says.

Ask me any question about SAFC and I'll most likely know the answer to it .

But back to my question? Why can't you say a player who plays for the mags is good without been called a mag and get pelters for it ? Personally I think Allan Saint Maximin is a tremendous players, and Nick Pope is a very good goalkeeper .

? Any one grown up enough on here to understand there's nothing wrong with saying that? Probably not..

I personally just think it's very strange.

Cue the predictable boring mag crack responses....

Always thought Krul showed good sportsmanship after Defoe's wonder goal.

I have spoke to the gentleman in the OPs avatar a few times. It would be absolutely hilarious if Cox Green isn’t really him like

To answer the question, ill give credit where its due no matter what. A few weeks ago I said that I thought Newcastles training shirt (which they have since wore for a match) is really smart. Doesn’t make me less of a Sunderland fan.

If

Also if Jordan Pickford wasn't a local lad there's no way at all he'd be rated as highly as he is, another thing I find strange .

Just say things how you see them ,take the rose tinted glasses off .

Aye

If you looked at my posting regarding Pickford for when he played for us I was impressed in how he handled himself and his belief for a young lad, but barring his kicking I wasn't that impressed.

For England though he's been f***ing superb and only someone blind or a mag would say anything different.....

Say what you like about Nick Pope - he hasn't got the big player, big game mentality like Pickford and Pickford has made that England shirt his. Pope in his appearances didn't look quite up to it.

Its popular to hate on the England number one and think the next lad in line is better but Pope isn't as good and Ramsdale isn't yet either and that sgot absolutely fuck all to do with who they play for or where they're from.

Also think about what you're saying - if Pickford wasn't from Sunderland there's no way he'd be rated as highly as he is....would that be Jordan Pickford with 45 England caps and a top performer in the most successful England side in most of our lifetimes?

Leeds beating Chelsea is surely more impressive than Saudi Magrabia not beating City?

Absolutely, no one wins every game, drawing an away game is hardly a shock for the Champions. The Mags have always had a tendency to raise themselves for the big games - it's what mercenaries do, then lose against an unfashionable club barely turning up. Not a massive surprise, and not massively significant for the season.

Imagine hating Defoe man. Almost single handedly kept us up, loved sticking it up the mags, and put a huge smile on the face of a seriously ill child. The family have said what a huge difference he made. And all that is forgotten because he left second time around when he wasn't even playing or making any impact (when he could've just stayed put and picked up a wage).
